Exclamation AT&T customers can't hear me when I call...WTF Sprint!?!

So....I've been having some weird issues with my phone. I'm a Realtor so I practically live on the phone. Whenever I call someone who has AT&T (mostly with iPhones, but other phoens as well) the person I call can't hear me. If they call back - they can hear me. I'm on my 3rd device (I had other issues as well) and the propblem still exists.

Anyone else have this issue or is it just me?

Why is this Sprints fault? Could it be possible it is ATT's fault? I don't have that problem and I never have so I can't help. Just pointing out that it might not be Sprints fault. It could go the other way also.

I am on Sprint and spend about eight hours a day on phone for business with clients I know that our on AT&T. Only issues I have are occasional echos but I can always be heard. Most likely the fault is on AT&T's side with tower congestion resulting in slow trade off switching. Thus why AT&T is know for excessive "call dropping".

Good point I guess...it could be either way. I only hear the problem from Sprint users though....not anyone else. Figured I'd throw it out there and see if anyone else is having the issue.

This used to happen to me when my girlfriend was on ATT using an iphone. She's switched to the Torch, and we haven't had problems. However, in the past, I've ALWAYS had problems contacting people on ATT. I would get busy errors, call cannot go thru errors, people can't hear me, etc., and the only common denominator was that the other user was on ATT.

PS. She used to complain about the same problems when she called her sister who also used an iphone (who also upgraded to a Torch ) and who was on ATT as well which makes me believe it could be iphone related.

I was a business acct rep with AT&T for 2yrs and it happens ALL the time and its due to congestion on the towers being used and even more so after the release of the iPhone. This is very common with iPhone 4's because they already have an issue with their antennas, that's a hardware issue not network. So don't be so quick to judge Sprint and thier service. It's ur friends/clients service that's the problem.

I have had issues with my friend who's had AT&T for years now. I am thinking this has to be an AT&T issue as I don't have this issue with any other carrier. Whenever he calls me, I usually hear myself echo in my phone for the first 20 seconds or so and then it goes away. Sometimes I don't hear him at all. This doesn't happen when I call or get calls from VZW or T-Mobile or other Sprint customers. This isn't related to the phone either. He currently has an iphone, but he has used several different phones as have I, it doesn't matter if we are in the same town, or across the country...the result is always the same. He says he doesn't have this issue with calling anyone else, and the same goes for me.

It's not just iPhones. My best friend has an 8520 with AT&T and whenever she gets calls from her boyfriend or I (we both have Sprint) she says she can't hear us. But we can hear her. I thought it was AT&T and she should call them, but when I called a landline number in regards to an interview, they couldn't hear me on the other end. I don't know if it's worth calling Sprint, because I haaaate calling them.

Not that it matters...it turned out being some sort of issue they were having with an entire 'packet' from a tower. It was on Sprints end. It's back up and running now though.
