Default Sprint TV crashing phone on 8130

Good morning! Had a quick tech question. My girlfriend has a red Pearl 8130 and whenever a Sprint TV clip ends on its own (i.e. an episode ends) the Blackberry will crash and reboot. Has anyone else had this issue?

I have already updated to the most recent Pearl OS from Sprint and downloaded Sprint TV again. Sad to say but this may be a deal breaker for the phone for her. Thanks for the help!

I'll do a little bit of research and see if there is anything I can come up with. Sadly, you might have to create a backup and format the entire phone reinstall the software and then load all your data back onto it. Or you could take it in to a Sprint corporate store and see what they can do for you. They might just swap out the phone.

Delete the sprint TV application, redownload it and reinstall. Test. If that fails just reload the HHSW

It didn't work for me. I have had a problem with SprintTV since Nov 07. I have upgraded my OS at least 3 or 4 times and still the software is crappy. It keeps freezing and I have to take out the battery to get my phone back.

Not really upgrading the OS, just reloading it. If all else fails then the only other option is there is a hardware failure. I havent heard of anyone elses sprint TV freezing up while im on call.

I think you missed my point. Upgrading or reloading doesn't work. Try it when you get your berry. It's crappy software.

Just a followup I had previously done everything mentioned in these forums (delete/reinstall, OS upgrade delete/reinstall etc) and it didn't work. We did have a good experience calling tech support who suggested a complete memory wipe, reinstall, etc...after performing this the same problem did occur.

My girlfriend will be returning the phone and getting a red Curve. I am happy about this since I believe the Curve is a better built phone in general. (She currently has a Verizon Pearl and 3 months in she has to do daily battery pulls even with managing memory)

Thanks for everyone's input!

I started a thread just last week called "Sprint TV is crashing my BB" regarding this issue with my 8130. So apparently it is happening to more than a few people. When I first got my Pearl, the sprint tv worked flawlessly but just recently it hard resets itself after watching approximately 3 minutes of sprint tv video. Haven't heard any effective solutions yet.

Mine freezes when watching Sprint TV, too. I don't watch it much, so I haven't made too much of a big deal about it.

I'm wondering if it's a memory issue. Most of the problems I've been reading on this issue seem to be occuring on pearls. I wonder if more memory on the curves has helped to aleviate the problem. Don't shoot me if I'm wrong!
