Wow. This is unfortunate. Well, I guess it's time to reduce my plan a bit and save some money.

Service going to crap, benefits going south. Sprint is beginning to think it is in the same league as Verizon. Improve the service. Give us loyal customers a reason to want to stay. Don't take everything away. Time to lower my plan too. And let my contract expire, and explore my options.

Wow so what do you get from Sprint's increases in prices ($10 fee added to any smartphone)? Nothing, they actually are taking things away.

When the iPhone hits, we can expect extremely congested data, to go along with the already diminishing coverage and more dropped calls. Isn't that worth paying more for?

Eventually they'll implement tiered data (or throttling), so that will solve the congestion. Sounds familiar doesn't it....

I got this in a message last night from a friend a d all I could think of was wow. I didn't think they had a leg to stand on right now to do this. I actually tried posting a thread on here using my phone last night but didn't have the service to do so. Lol
So in a nutshell it stated in the past 3months sprint has lost a significant amount of coverage by losing the alltell towers thanks to the vz buyout. Raised their ETF to 350 now. Raised their prices by only a significant amount thanks to the extra $1.50 a line weird fee. Increased their insurance cost.

I am not a major in business by any means but I would assume that nine of these changes would be scrutinized if before they did them they would get their coverage back up to what it was before the massive drop.

I am a huge fan of sprint and the coverage drop didn't affect me at home in the slightest but I drove to pa this week and stayed for the week and let me just say wow. I was roaming the whole time and I go every year and usually have great service.

I am usually the guy on my 2 year anniversary or earlier looking at phones and trying to sign another 2yr contract with them but this is the first year in about 10 that I am going to let my contract run out and weigh my other options at the time. Not saying I'm leaving or saying but just want to see what others have to offer. I feel alot of faithful others are thinking the same way as I am right about now.

And that's the moronic view of the Corporate World. What's more important getting new customers that might jump ship for the next great thing just like them jumping on the iPhone or keeping the customers that have shown they are going to stay with a company for a long period of time. 1 person signing up for the iPhone while another 1 leaves due to poor service, cancel each other out, and nothing is gained in the overall picture, but IMO, I would rather keep the person that has stayed with us for 8 years because more than likely, they will continue to stay with us.

well i work for the cable company and hear customers complain that they are paying to much for their service and have been with us for 20+ yrs and people that left and came back are paying 1/3 the price.
its not moronic and thanks for the word calling but i was in sales for the company and we had 3 departments in the region that were set to keep customers and about 300 looking for new customers.

improvements are a nice thing to existing customers but they're just content and out of contract. when you get a new customer you are either guaranteed 2 solid years of their pay or a $350 etf.

This REALLY sucks! I could see if Sprint had recently updated and expanded their network and blanketed the country with a shiny new 4G LTE network. Maybe then they could justify pulling back on some of the perks and charging a premium on data for smart phones, but to do this ahead of a PROPOSED network upgrade and at a time when you are loosing customers? And they have the nerve to ***** about the AT&T-T Mo merger and how it will stifle competition. Bad move Sprint!

I'm kind of disapointed that they're dropping the Premier program, but I have to say I was upset when I heard of the new Blackberry Torch models getting released and no pre-order availability. I used to get pre-order e-mails all the time for the Evo, Photon, etc, but nothing for the phone I wanted. Granted I bought it on the day it was released with no problem, but I didn't understand why they didn't pre-release the Blackberry.

supposedely sprint is suppose to be rolling out all new LTE towers in 2012 its suppose to be starting so who knows if that will help or hurt our already poor service but for the money sprint is the best provider out there and if they could get there service/signal issues fixed they would be #1 no doubt.
