Default Sprint May Not Be For Everyone Anymore

My service has been so bad lately I cant stand it anymore. I keep calling Sprint and they assure me that it must be a problem with my phone and keep wanting to reset it. Check this out its not a pretty picture.

Sprint Community: Voice and 3G coverage being drastically...

Haven't read the linked topic yet, but I will. I'm on Simply Everything, so I have no roaming charges anyway, but data slowness in roaming areas could be a factor.

I myself noticed how sub-standard Sprint's service is when I traveled to Europe a week ago with my Bold 9650 (on Sprint) and used it on a European carrier with UMTS..the connection was SOLID EVERYWHERE and the speed was wifi-like..MUCH faster than Sprint lol...and to think I only paid the equivalent of $8 for a full month's BIS service

From what I hear, if you complain enough they'll give you an airrave.

Got that for free. And don't pay the monthly fee they want. And hard to believe but that doesn't work for me. The airave doesn't do anything. Works for 1 call only. Then nothing. I have had it replaced 3 times already. And the last call the rep and I couldn't agree on anything. He claimed the phone was wrong and I had to update the prl, did it all and nada. And he says something I'm doing wrong.

I had them take control of my phone. You could watch the screen on my phone change as they were clicking around on it. They blamed everything from the router to the new air rave they gave me to it being a blackberry thing. The service is just bad now. My wife switched to Verizon and an Iphone and she has full bars around the house and if I want to send an email I have to stand out front by the street and hold the phone up in the air. The phone don't or wont roam even. I hate switching I have been with them so long. Verizon is more money but is probably worth it I guess. I just want to hold out long enough to see if Verizon get a newer bb to switch to. My daughters switched to ATT and have great service. They laugh at me for missing so many calls. Between the bad service and the phone resetting everytime I take a pic its crazy.

BTW sorry for starting a new thread that was already being discussed earlier. Didn't see it before posting.

I know your pain heaterman61. I have the same issues with my bold. And even while on wifi I couldn't send anything without having to try countless times. I switched to an evo shift at least with that I can email and txt with wifi on and connected. Because I always drop signal in my apt. I thought sprint was good. But I see they failed me again.

Hmm Sprint isn't too bad for me. My only complaint is indoor coverage but I should expect that on the 1900 MHz frequency.

I am in the same boat; my service has gotten really bad for my wife and me. 2 days ago it took 14 phone calls to get 1 conversation finished. Call to complain and they say they are upgrading the towers; for the past 4 months. No service at home or work, so I am done with Sprint after 10 years. Thank goodness for wifi or I would get done with my sprint phone.

Probably won't happen but Sprint should be letting people leave with no early term fee!

If you no longer have coverage that you had before, they can let you out without and ETF, but you have to continue to call and complain so that there is a record of this so when you make your case to waive the ETF, there will be a record. I haven't noticed any difference in my service levels at all. Hopefully it stays that way "fingers crossed"
