Thumbs up Sprint to deploy 4G LTE network with LightSquared

Sprint to deploy 4G LTE network with LightSquared

Well we all knew that Sprint would jump on LTE at some point. Let's hope they can get this thing rolled out ASAP and build a true nextgen nationwide network.

I just foresee the government having some issues with the LightSquared signal interfering with GPS signals. I hope that Sprint and LightSquared can get this LTE network off the ground and rolling, but I just have a feeling there might be some backlash with the GPS interference.

Well there's another add-on charge haha. If they roll it out the same speed as Wimax it might be done by 2030. Hopefully its MUCH quicker than that.

They've already been rolling out cell sites since last year, that are software centric, rather than hardware. They are capable of using CDMA, GSM, WiMAX, LTE, etc individually or all at the same time.

They also own more spectrum than AT&T and Verizon combined, so they can definitely pull it off. In theory, we should se some great things coming from Sprint over the next year or two. Time will tell, though.

Sprint customers can only hope. They need it to start getting in more customers. Couple years back they had TERRIBLE customer service and were bleeding customers, now they are constantly at the top of Customer Service lists and are gaining customers but I believe still in the red quarterly.

I've been a customer since 2002ish, and I have no reason to switch. With them getting all these nice phones now it's fantastic.
