I only wish, still trying to figure out why Sprint doesn't allow include this in their PDAs.

i wonder if it will have Q-chat software. If you look at the curve on att then have pTT so why can't there be Q-chat on sprint.

Q Chat is more than software, its hardware as well. Regular PTT on CDMA and GSM devices uses the existing radio. They would have to install an additional radio into the device. I'm sure they'll be able to do it with BB in time, but not quite yet. I'm waiting too, I currently have my 8830 and an i880.

That sucks! I wish Sprint will allow MMS or PictureMail to be sent on their BB.

Can anyone really say for sure? When I ask CS about the pearl Picture Mail not working they say they are "working" on the issue. Now normally when CS gives you a brush off it sounds more like "we are looking into...future...functionality...blah, blah, blah". But CS correspondence have rendered a slight tinge of "someday it could happen" or "okay! we heard about this and the Bean-Counters are trying to figure out how much we are going to get hosed on this".

I have a feeling (and really this is all speculation, so take it with a grain of salt) they are waiting for more BB MMS demand before they set aside infrastructure to support this amount of media up/downloading. Plus you have the whole deal with getting everything to work with BIS also which deals with a separate company.

The only PDA with Sprint that has MMS is the Palm OS. Blackberry and Windows Mobile do not and will not have MMS at least not in the near future.

So, most common agreement is that it's coming. "When" is the next question. Another question I have would be, what the price is going to be??? I mean it's a fact that CDMA technologies are more expensive than GSM, GSM BB 8120 and 8820 retail around $300 and $500 respectively while their CDMA counterparts the 8130 and 8830 fetch $500 and $550. Think $550 retail is out of the picture???

That is not true! Blackberry do allow MMS (ATT, T-Mobile, and Verizon have Blackberries with MMS). Sprint has missed the boat by blocking that services on their phones.

You mean palm os allows it on there phones , is that included in the data plans or above and beyound. The palm UWUEmail is only 15.00 bucks if you add Utext it jumps you another 10.00 to a total of 25.00 . I think the 30.00 dollar deal sprint in runnning is a good deal for both the palm os phones and bb but if the palm includes mms they have the advantage.

I could be wrong on this but here goes. I just left sprint to go to at&t, the reason i left is that I wanted the curve. When I called to port my number out the lady in the retension dept told me that sprint was getting a curve but it was going to be the 8330, not the 8310.

From what I have read the big difference in the two is this. The 8330 has wifi and the 8310 has gps.

Hope that helps
