Default Sprint 4G in Missouri

Sprint is making headway in Missouri with 4G.

KC and St Louis have had for some time but also you can now add Joplin, Rolla and Columbia at least in limited non-official form.

Joplin and Rolla have been up for a few months, Columbia just came on line today or perhaps earlier this week as I have had my EVO's 4G turned on for the last month. The best signal is along I70 in middle of Columbia as that were their primary tower is however I got 2 4G bars about 2 mile east of Columbia off I70 which in a crest of hill.

Simple web speed test site gave me 8.7 Mb down and 1.8 up.

I spoke with my Sprint buddy last month who is a Sprint signal tech out of KC and he said they HAVE to get it rolled out at least in a limited form in many area as otherwise Clearwire loses their FCC license leases.

So keep your fingers crossed, we might start seeing other states and smaller areas fire up 4G

Yeah, and now they're getting ready to do an about face and load up for LTE deployment. Glad to hear Columbia is getting some 4G services, though. Keep Clearwire up to keep the licenses for transition, it does make sense.

Default Where is 4g in Springfield Mo?

I Live in Springfield, Mo. I have my samsung epic on right now and it isn't finding a 4g signal on the south east side of town. I've hear that 4g is just south of town in Ozark Mo, but I just haven't found it yet in my area of Springfield. I live just 1 mile off of 65 hwy. So we shall see.

Yea, I don't think they are making it a point to cover all these areas other than to simply establish at least one tower with 4G so that Clearwire doesn't lose their FCC license for these towns.

I was in Sedalia last friday and hit a 4G signal some were in that town but I'm not sure were as i was just driving though and noticed it when I answered a call.

I live in Columbia, were I work is within a mile of were the single 4G tower is and I barely get a single bar of 4G IF I put my EVO near a window that faces the tower's location.

They are just creating a presence, I don't think quality is a big concern, I hit a 4G signal in Springfield while I was driving west on I44....
