So, will sprint began charging us for Sprint/Telanav navigation as well?

This just came up as I thought about upgrading from a Tour to the new Bold.

When I got my Tour it came with a free sprint branded Telanav navigation which is included in the 69.99 everything data plan. If you were to buy it as a stand alone app, it would cost you $9 a month or $100 a year. So the saving is huge on top of the fact that I still haven't upgraded to the $10 fee.

My question is, will sprint still include Telanav navigation as free if you upgrade to a new phone?

It hasn't been stated (to my knowledge) that they will be charging for it. So I am going to guess that, for now, you won't be charged for it and it will still be free.

It's included in their "Everything Data" plans. I don't see this coming because price is what Sprint has over at&t and Verizon and if they start charging for that they will lose their advantage. Plus, even if they charge, there are plenty of free options out there.

It's included in my plan under add ons but it's also showing $0.00 a month for the charge. I have the Simply Data plan.

they charge for a premium version that has weather and traffic. the basic is still free.
i was weary about hitting the monthly charge button but i am on the family 1500 everything data plan and it is waived on the bill.
