Default One more thing...

I have the browser working but was unable to follow your directions on the host routing section. When I click on Host Routing Section I see a ton of sprint selections with various numbers in brackets after them. One of them is highlighted. However, I don't see anything labeled BB. Not sure if I still need to do this step to try to register???

In my messages section, I already have a note from Blackberry that "Your handheld has been registered with the wireless network" Maybe I did this already??? I think I got this message after going to Options-Mobile Network-highlisghting SprintPCS and clicking the trackball.

Thanks again Superm1

Hi

I am a total newbie with blackberries, so can you please help and let me know what I need to do to send the service book to my computer.

I have copied the zip attachment to my blackberry and removed the .zip extension.

I have also run synchronize on my desktop manager and also have registered with host routing table.

Still no results, am I doing something wrong? Any help would be appreciated

I've been using this and it works great!

Has anybody gotten this to work after upgrading to 5.0? I'd like to upgrade, but I don't want to lose this hack...

Default Service books

I've got a set of service books merged from forum posts all around that can finally get the two services working w/o BIS.

To load these on your phone, go to Options - > Advanced -> Service Book.

Hold <alt> and press "S" "B" "E" "B".
On a pearl, this means you press the "A?S" key twice.

You will get a message "Legacy SB mode enabled"

Send the service books using the BB Desktop manager.

Enjoy!
Can you help me combine some service books that I have? I want to see if I can get Pandora or Slacker working thanks!

I'm in the same boat. I just upgraded to 5, and have several sets of books. But I can't get one set that does both the browser and mms. In a couple of instances where mms works, actually receives message too, the browser shows up on the install, but then goes away as soon as I get the registration message. Anyone have any insight? I also posted over here too...

Question

So really, no help on the service book situation? I can't believe that all the sero folks would be cool with not getting MMS's anymore, have the rest of you just not upgraded? I feel like I'm really close to finding the combination of service books, but every time I just get one or the other working correctly. If anyone knows how to get both mms and the browser working on OS 5 please let me in on the secret.

idenlover-

Are you still able to get your browser to work? I don't care about MMS as long as I can get the web.

I know this is a fairly old thread, but I though it'd be worth clearing up this un-answered question, as I myself was wondering about the same issue, and found the rest of the thread helpful.

Magicberry (mensastep.com - it won't let me hyperlink), can be used to merge service books, it's as simple as opening one service book, then using the import feature to load another.

Another plus is that individual service book entries can be easily modified.

The main down side with this is there is very little support, though there is an email address and a "forum".
