I know very little about Tmobile but usually the 2 years contracts are difficlut to get out of and signing on with another carrier doesn't cancel a contract with a different one, sounds like a salesman is just making a good pitch to get you signed on.
The best way is raise cain at Tmobile if you really want out of the Tmobiel contract, with enough complaining about the service esp if it's the wireless coverage, logic would suggest they can't hold you to a service contract when they are not supplying service.
I wouldn't be to swayed by a kiosk sale pitch, their pay is based on the the contracts they get signed and they they have no of very influence on if Tmobile will grant you and early end to your contract.
You must call Tmobile customer service and just be honest and tell them, "hey, I have no coverage and want out".
