Possible move from Verizon to Sprint, lets talk coverage
First, I know there are other threads about this, but Id still like some more feedback. Ive been with Verizon for 8 years or so, its all I know as far as coverage goes, and its always been fantastic. I love always having a strong signal, I don't travel around a lot but when I do its nice to always have coverage.
Now, I'm grandfathered into Verizon's unlimited data for $30 a month. But still, Id love to be able to have a smaller monthly bill, plus Sprint always has a great line up of Android devices. I'm debating giving Sprint a try, but if I do and don't like it, and go back to big red, Ill lose my grandfathered unlimited data and be limited to 2 gigs for the price I'm currently paying for unlimited. So Id basically screw myself if where I live I end up not having coverage with Sprint. And I don't have any friends who live locally with Sprint to see how coverage is.
I hear Sprints coverage has actually gotten less/smaller, is this true? I also hear and read people saying things like they have to be near a window or go outside of buildings at times just to have a signal to make a call. How accurate is this? I know its a case by case basis, but I just want to see what people generally have to say about this.
If money were no option id opt to get a phone and pay for a month or whatever I can within the 30 days (I'm assuming its 30 days) to see how my coverage is if I have to return the phone and stay with Verizon, and keep my Verizon plan as well until I decide. Sadly money is tight and I couldn't afford to do that for even one month, not currently anyway.
I appreciate any feedback and opinions I can get. Especially from anyone who is a convert from Verizon.
