Default New Sprint Phones

I talked to a Sprint Rep yesterday, said that they are coming out with 2 new android phones in June and 1 new android phone in July. No Blackberries to come...he says Blackberry has kinda missed the boat.

Guess no sense holding our breath for any new blackberries to be released on Sprint anytime soon... the Android market is taking over on Sprint....

android is definitely king at Sprint no doubt, but don't give up on blackberry. Sprint is getting i think 3 to 4 new berries by years end latest 1st quarter 2012, there getting the new Bold touch and the New curve but i would i hope the curve touch, possibly the full touch monza or aka Volt.

I believe rule #1 of phone releases is don't listen to reps.
If the reps are rocking an android phone chances are that's all they'll know about thanks to the good fellas at androidcentral.
As a blackberry owner I couldn't tell you anything about dropping android devices.

I went into a sprint store 3 days before the bold dropped and asked for my own test and they said no more bb are coming out that year. They said the tour was the last one.
A week later I went in and asked about the bold and they said it has the same specs as the tour which also has the same specs as the curve 8330 but with wifi and a trackpad. Mind you this is a corporate store and not some kiosk at a mall. That was officially when I stopped asking reps about phone release dates.

Word on the street Is summer June/July/aug. If vz gets it then we will. Just like the bold we may see it a week or so early to everyone's suprise. That's just my guess though judging from chats with people like sal on twitter and chats here on cb

I sure hope you're right! I came from Palm to blackberry by way of an android phone (which I hated). However I have recently taken them up on "try it to see if you like it" buy purchasing and returning 2 different android phones. I have to say I REALLY liked both of them; they have come a long way since the Samsung Moment. However, I truly missed my blackberry (partly because it's bridged to my playbook) so I returned them both. I am hoping against hope that Sprint gets the bold touch no later than September. I think that's as long as I can hold out, and with native email, etc. coming to the playbook I might be able to do without black berry bridge.

[who am I kidding ....]

As a former rep, we had to sign confidentiality agreements that we couldnt talk about certain upcoming devices. We knew about the iPhone 3 weeks before the release but couldnt talk about it to ANYONE or we would be fired and sued by Apple. So if you asked me I'd play dumb too.

You do realize that the majority of the time the rep has no clue what they're talking about?
About a month ago I had a rep tell me that Sprint doesn't offer a tethering plan because BlackBerry's aren't capable of tethering.

I was at a Sprint meeting last month for my employer and they mentioned that they had a couple new BlackBerry's coming out in July but couldn't say more then that. Now I saw here yesterday that the monaco / torch 2 is coming to sprint.

I agree and I'm likely going to an android phone next month, either the Evo 3d or the Motorola Photon. I'm tired of waiting for BB even if they are getting a new phone next month.

Compared to who? After the Evo3D and Photon are released, they will have more dual core phones to choose from than any other carrier.

Typed on my CyanoSavaged SuperEvo.
