Default need help and opinions

My upgrade is available on febuary 1st and that is right around the corner. I do not know which phone to ugrade too. I wanna stick with blackberry but honestly sprint does not have a good variety. The style? Personally do not like it. The curve? I'm coming from a curve 8330 and have lots of problems: lagging, freezing, etc. Not tryin to get another curve. The bold 9650? One of my choices but idk if I should get it. With the new bold 9780 that just came out to T-mobile I feel like the 9650 will be falling behind. I know that they both have same specs and os6 has already came out for the 9650. What I mean by "falling behind" is that I have a feeling that if I get the 9650 now....a better bb will come out to sprint in about two months. Than again I can be wrong. All I truely want is a torch, but I have honestly given up on sprint ever getting it cuz the last time any info came up of the sprint torch (9330) was in march last year. So...idk which phone to get. Argued aot with myself about getting the EVO but when it comes down to it idt I can leave blackberry for android. Plz help me out on my decision...get the 9650 or wait for another bb (apollo, or somehow the torch)

Red face

Personally I don't look for Sprint to get anything worth upgrading to any time in the near future. I've got the Curve 8530 and I hate it. It freezes and dies all the time. Sprint seems content to keep releasing and re-releasing the same phones over and over again with an upgraded OS and a shiny new bezel and calling them new.

Sprint has their huge announcement February 7 and something tells me it's either gonna be an iPhone or that stupid 3D phone I've heard about. Both of which are huge yawns for me.

My phone is falling apart and of course, Sprint doesn't want to send me another warranty replacement. They want me to upgrade and extend my contract out for either the Style (blah) or the Bold (yawn) or the*NEW* Curve 3G which is the same phone I've got minus OS6.

I'll see what Sprint's announcement is come Feb 7. I'll see what happens this spring, but if they don't release a Torch, I'm like you - I'll have to find another carrier.

Listen I know where your coming from. I've had a curve 8330 for the past two years and it is barely alive. Always freezes. If I try to do more than two things at the same time on my curve it just starts to have a heart attack. Sometimes I sit there contemplating on wether its worth breaking the phone completely or not, I already cracked the screen because of how angry it gets me. I tried to ask sprint to somehow send me a newer curve like the 8530 at LEAST after being a customer for over ten years. They tell me they would send me another 8330. I would never do that because I know for a fact that I would have the same problems. Sprint is really letting me down big time. Febuary 7th isn't really catching my eye either because as u said its probably gonna be an android. Or another tablet is what I actually believe it might be. If its an iphone I think I'm gonna have to leave bb because honestly I'm sick of having the downgraded berry while everyone has the newer ones. I wouldn't leave sprint though, they have the best plans.

My wife and I have had great experiences with both of our Curve phones, 8330 and now 8530. I am paying month to month right now waiting for something good to come out that will make me either leave Sprint or sign a 2 yr contract with them again. I'd prefer to stay with Sprint as they are still the cheapest, even after the $10 increase, and they have good coverage around here. I'd get the iphone today if Sprint offered it. I'm not sold on Android and BB has NOTHING that I like right now.

Also very true. The sprint bold is already a year old and I don't wanna get it just to see that they are gonna release a new one in a few months. On the other hand I don't wanna have to wait for 2-3 months.

It's the old waiting game....waiting for something cool to come out. As soon as you pull the trigger, you know as well as I do, a new release comes out.

By the time Sprint gets anything, it's already EOLd because it's antiquated.

The Style is cute but I'm not extending my contract for that. I want a touch screen and Sprint is only interested in the Curve line which should be displayed in The Cafe 80s next to the dust buster in the movie Back to the Future.

Found out today, Verizon has NHL game center live. That's a MAJOR factor for me since I'm a hockey loving chick on top of my sister gets a 25% discount thru her work for Vzw phones and service.

We'll see if February 7th makes anyone happy and if the Torch is released this spring.

Whatever you do, do not switch to T-Mobile. There coverage is decent, but for the most part (if you live in a rural area) you will only get EDGE (2.5G) service while getting 3G with Sprint.

I wouldn't plan on switching to tmobile as sprint is the cheapest and I have service everywhere. I just hate the phone selection they have. Tried out the bold today at the sprint store which already had os6 on it and it didn't really impress me. The webkit browser isn't an quick as I expected it to be. I guess it is the old waiting game but my patience run out very quick. I don't wanna leave blackberry but I think I might have to and get the EVO or EVO shift.

If you do go Android, I highly suggest the Evo Shift. It is light weight and has a great keyboard.
