Default Max Speed with Sprint (3G) network while tethering

Hey guys,

What is the fastest tethering speeds you guys got with sprint blackberries?

I know they have amazing speeds with 4G, but this 3G stuff really bugs me.

Thanks!

I've gotten just over 2 mbps on my evo shift with 3G. I assume an EVDO Rev A blackberry would be similar. I've gone over 8 mbps. quite a few times on 4G.

Sprint's 3G network is bad. I don't know why they spent all that money on WiMax instead of improving their existing 3G network for their customers. Now, they're behind and rushing to push out LTE. How will this help their existing customers with 3G devices? Grrrr .. ok, enough with the rant.

Back to your topic.

Rush hour (before work, lunch time, 5pm-10pm): 200Kbps-500Kbps
Other times: 1-2Mbps

Real bad.

EVENTUALLY 3G will get faster when they start getting NetWork Vision off the ground.

This will be done because they are taking nextels frequency and using it to help backload.

So It will question is when.

Even at its best evdo rev A is garbage...

There's no real hope until they have decent LTE coverage...
