Default HTC evo or evo shift?

Greetings!
If sprint does not come out with a new bb today (which I doubt they will), ill be getting an evo or evo shift. Looking for some insight, thoughts and opinions on these two phones. Thanks

Depends on what you want. Do you want a physical keyboard? Does all touchscreen work for you?

i take the evo shift, personally i think the evo is just to big, the shift is a nice size and the keyboard is a nice added plus. if i were to exchange and try android i would get the shift.

I played with the evo shift at the sprint store. On paper it looks to be a great phone and just may be, but it felt very cheaply made and flimsy to me.No video out also. For the extra $10 bucks per month it it wasnt worth it to me.

I went with the Evo Shift because the Evo was just bigger than I need. It really just depends on what you want, they are both solid devices. I really didn't need the FFC or extra size of the OG Evo, so the Shift was a perfect fit for me. Plus I like having the option of a physical QWERTY keyboard.

Yeah probably a good way to go even though im not a fan of physical keyboard androids the smaller form factor is likely to yeild a beter overall battery life other specs aside

Go play with one, you can make that decision yourself. The Epic felt much sturdier to me. I compare the Shift to be more like the LG rumor. I have the Bold now and while its not the phone I want it should be good untill my next upgrade. By then they should have some Blackberries with greater specs.

I have the Evo, my other half has the Shift. Both are excellent devices. The only differences to consider are the Evo it's larger, has HDMI out, and an 8mp camera while the Shift has a physical keyboard, is smaller, and faster.

i have the evo 4g.

great device. I thought the email wasn't going to be as good as BB. I was wrong.
great video viewing. that would frustrate me with BB. the videos would load and load and not play @ times. Android is always updating.. Always improving.

both phones are great. Evo shift a little faster but smaller. keyboard feels .. ehhh.
evo shift is good but you need a charger @ work and home. I have an extra battery.. it drinks battery juice like a hungry baby. the evo shift has the same 1500mah battery. so it lasts more on the shift. shift and big evo are the same except smaller screen.. coming from bb, i'm shocked on how fast i can type on the evo. i thought i would never get over the keyboard. I'm the first to say that i was wrong about android.

evo 4g = big screen, good videos, nice virtual keyboard, fast. Smooth UI, and apps! hdmi, front facing camera. comes in handy when you wanna send someone a pic or take a pic of yourself at an event and nobody is there to take it.

evo shift = smaller screen, faster, keyboard, good battery usage, 3.6 inch screen is small but it's still cool. no front face, no hdmi, but same 2.2

best part of both phones.. full adobi flash! watch youtube .. the real youtube..
on bb when you wanna see a video, it says "not available for mobile viewing".. not on the evo!!!!

love HTC!

depends what you want

In a choice between the 2, I would take the shift.
I don't know how the specs compare, but the Evo is too big for me (and for the pockets on some of my jeans).
