Default Help Choosing Phone

I'm due for another phone from my company. Currently have the 8530. I was wanting the Sprint IPhone but our "IT" group said...."we support blackberry, if you dont get a blackberry then dont ask for support". So with that said is the Touch a good option from Sprint? I'm hesitant about no keyboard but i'm just tired of the same blackberry look/feel for the past 10 years thus the consideration for Touch touch screen.

Is there something new coming out soon?

I have the Torch 9850 from Sprint and love it! If you go to the forums on the 9850/9860 and look around, you'll get a good idea of some of the concerns about the phone. I came from a Tour and it took some getting used to the phone (mainly the lack of a physical keyboard) but I really like it now. Overall, I have no complaints. I dont think that BB is releasing any other phones before the new BBX (BB10) line next year, so if you don't want to wait until then, these are really your only option. Probably the best thing to do would be go to a Sprint store and check out the Torch and Bold to see if you like it before you have your company get you one. Good luck!

read, then try out at a sprint store where phones work. fwiw, last summer's bold - the upgraded tour, has been rocksolid for about a year and a half for our family, so if the newer ones don't suit in the end, the 9650 might be a reasonable try. just not sure if they are still available retail.

The new 9930 is not just another Blackberry! Coming from a 8530 to a 9650 to a 9930 I can tell you each step was a monumetal leap forward in design and functionality. The keyboard on 9930 is superior to what you are currently using and the touch screen helps in a lot of situations. The Torch is also nice if you can do without keyboard. Same great 7.1 OS which does everything you will need.
