Exclamation ***HELP blackberry 9700 SPRINT***

okay, so here's the story...

i switched to sprint and have a [b][/b][b][/b][b][/b][b][/b]ty EVO i would give anything to have my bb 9700 back!!!!!! is there anyway to unlock and use it on sprints network???
can i get around the whole gsm / cdma thing?!

No. The 9700 is a GSM-only device, and Sprint is a CDMA carrier. The 9700 could be unlocked to use on AT&T or T-Mobile, but it cannot be used on any CDMA network.

You could get a Sprint-branded 9650. You cannot use a 9650 branded to VZW on Sprint. CDMA carriers will not activate devices that are branded to other CDMA carriers.

Nope, can't. Just sell the 9700 and buy a used 9650, they aren't expensive.

Can't be done. GSM phones you put a sim card into. CDMA phones get programmed using the MSL and by giving them the ESN. Different technologies and different frequencies.

Sprint is a CDMA carrier and the 9700 is a GSM phone. the closest Blackberry to the Bold 9700 that works on a CDMA network is the Bold 9650 which is a very good phone if I do say so myself and I say so
