| | Delayed email/sms on BB Tour 9630
Guys, a few times within last couple weeks, my emails got delayed by about 24 hours. I ended up missing emails from customer placing an order and they were furious with me. It made me look like a focking fool, AGAIN as this wasn't the first time this has happened. It also happens with text messaging sometimes when people said I texted you and I never got anything from them. Weird things like this have been happening ever since I guess Sprint lost their roaming contract and I won't even mention the "signal losses".
For instance, customer sent an email on 7/5 at 12:19pm. I did not get the email til 7/6 around 7pm. I called Sprint and they just reset my phone, etc...they said they have no idea what happend. I called back and clearly another(veteran) csr told me that it was blackberry outage. I researched and never saw anything about blackberry outage.
What do I do here?

Sounds like a network service issue not a device issue.

OP, if you keep experiencing problems, you should open trouble tickets with Sprint and make note of all the outages. That would be your best way to try to get out of your contract without paying an ETF, if your coverage is terrible.

They told me that it was blackberry outage and there's nothing they could do about it other than reset my phone, resend my signal, etc...

Since you mentioned that calls and SMS are affected, this is a carrier outage, not a BlackBerry outage. Calls and SMS use voice, not data.
Call them back and escalate the report by asking to speak to a supervisor.

You might want to check out this thread.

Call them back and escalate the report by asking to speak to a supervisor. | So right on cue, I go out to eat last night. Same restaurant that I go to every now and then or so. I have used my phone here multiple times w/o any issues. Last night all of sudden, I get a roaming triangle in there which I've never had there before and the signal is at 1-2 bars bouncing crazy w the diagonal arrows. I finish eating, leave the restaurant, walking to my car my phone rings and notifies me I have voicemail. Not just one but 3. I said this is ridiculous. So I took your advice, called sprint and told them my issue and I said I'd like to file a complaint w a supervisor. He asked me what the problems were, etc... I told him all of the issues I've been having and he says that from where he's at, on his computer, he can see that there is no network issues. He said that the network towers have been running 100% for past 6 months. I said so what are you saying, Im lying just making this up? He said excuse me, I am insulted that you're saying that Im lying, etc...blah blah and this guy flips the scripts on me and tells me that the issue seems to be my blackberry handset. He said my antenna on my bb is bad. I was thoroughly confused. I said whose the customer here? Did I call you or did you call me? I asked him again, I said can you just get me the supervisor? then he preceeds to continue to argue w me and I ignore him and tell him about 10x "PLEASE GET ME YOUR SUPERVISOR, I DO NOT WISH TO SPEAK TO YOU ANYMORE, I'VE TOLD YOU MY PROBLEMS AND YOU'RE ADDING ON ONE MORE"...and he is still talking about how there hasn't been network issues, etc...I only see you had 1 or 2 dropped calls in past 6 months, etc.....
I hang up on him...couldn't handle it anymore. He calls me back, I said please get me your supervisor, and he still refuses and I hang up on him again.....This pretty much sealed it, I am done with sprint....going back to verizon when the new Iphone drops in september. I really wanted the samsung GS II but no mas. I couldn't even file a complaint with the supervisor. What a failure I am.
This is one of few times that I actually can't wait til Sprint calls me with a CSR follow up call.

At this point, I am so angry at sprint that I hope ATT merger goes through and sprint goes out of business, NOT bought out by VZW. And I have previously stuck up for and defended Sprint couple times on BGR comment sections as well. I hope they all lose their jobs to weed out the garbage employees. Most their csr's are in india or indonesia or whatever 4th world country now it is anyways. The smart ones will land on their feet.
