How long does it usually take for the Data to be activated on a BB phone?

My voice was almost instant but my Data is still not available.

EDIT: Nevermind. The CSR that I spoke with to activate the phone did not step me through the provisioning/registering the phone. So I called Sprint Blackberry Support and the tech stepped me through it.

it can take up to 4 hrs..

Mine took around 30 minutes to get data plus the sprint CS rep told me to send the service books to my Curve and that at the most it could take up to 4hrs.

Make sure you provision the phone. Without doing this you won't have many (if any?) applications that use data on the phone.

I don't know if you know this, but it really stumped me for a few days. Go to options > mobile network > [hit the option/application/blackberry button (I like to call it right click)] > click "Start Provisioning"

This will give you all the BIS apps and the included sprint goodies that come with your plan.

Just received my phones yesterday. Called customer support to activate my phone. The first CSR I reached was unable to get the phone provisioned. I was then transferred to Sprint's blackberry support, and that rep was able to get the phone activated. I will have to give them a call later. Some of my icons/applications are not displayed such as my brower and my apps from my entertainment folder are missing.

Once your data and curve is provisioned and registered with our servers, your icons will appear. This Includes Sprint Nav Entertainment Icon, Sprint TV, Sprint Music Store and the web browser.
