Could this be a tower-related issue - berry restarting while on the phone

Twice in the last month I've been in approximately the same geographic location - walking home from work - and talking on the phone and all of a sudden my blackberry will drop the call and the screen will go black and it will start rebooting. After it reboots its totally fine and runs like normal. I'm wondering if its just a coincidence that this has only ever happened to me twice and that it happened to happened both times in a 5 block radius, or would that be evidence of something funky happening with a cell tower? The device (8530) seems to perform just fine and not have any problems otherwise.

My workplace is about a mile away from my apartment, and my apartment has a sprint cell tower on top of it, so I usually get full bars when I walk back and forth from work to my home.

Pete6032, I had a similar problem when traveling overseas. When I returned, the phone continued doing the same thing so I called support. The tech had me select the "home" area under "networks" and the problem was fixed. I could be wrong about this, but I was told that when youre in a weaker signal area and your phone searches for another network, that is when the phone reboots, my phone was doing this about 3-5 times a day. When I selected the "home" area options and the "1XEV" option on the pulldown instead of "Global", the phone worked fine. I'm sure there are much more knowledgable people who know better than this, but this worked for me when I had the same problem. Good luck, I hope this helps!
