Some of the kiddies will like it, especially the lower price. That is if Sprint markets it correctly.

I agree with Sunkast on this one. Looks to me like another Iclone without the apple apps.

It will just be another phone that people will be here on CB trying to trade for a BB once they realize that they made a mistake.

Thumbs down Spare me

Sprint can keep that one. They can't even market the phones they already have.

More Garbage! What drives me nuts about these iPhone "competitors" is they are so quick to try to get to market with there "all-impressive" touch screen. Heres an idea... Make it actually worth using! Even the article itself states that its incompatible with most software out there, and when trying to adapt existing platforms to use the touch screen, its sloppy, awkward, non functional... could go on and on.

The iPhone is and proabably will be the best touch screen phone on the market for awhile until someone takes the time to do what apple did... Device and complete software package working together... not adapt what we already have on our existing phones to have a couple of touch functions...

Even with the iPhone providing the best touchsreen experience I have seen, it still wasnt enough to keep me from sending it on its way and switching to a BlackBerry. So if the iPhone cant hold its ground to the many people I have seen lose it for a real device (ie BB ), these pieces of junk dont stand a chance in the market place.

They tout their "cheaper" price... The only people that will work out in their favor are kids who want something that "looks" cool. While cheap is always good, I prefer Value. I would gladly pay the premium IF the device was worth it. Now if it was cheap AND did what I needed, then I would be happy

...Ok I supposive Ive said enough

PS - I made mention above that the article said that the interface doesn't adapt well to the touch screen, that was in reference to existing models (ie voyager, etc.). So even if this phone lives up to the hype, whats the best to hope for? An iPhone clone? Not much to hope for. There is already an iPhone... Invent something revolutionary.

...now Ive said enough

People should stop hating on the iphone. I've never seen it bashed as much as I have here at CB.

The iPhone and the BB are two TOTALLY different phones. Its not like the iphone is bbs competitor, but yet everybody here hates on it to the extreme.

I had the iphone for 8 months and I can honestly say its a fantastic device. I'm sure 80 percent of people hating on it haven't even used it for more than 20 mins if even that much.

I love my Pearl, and it has many different wonderful features. As I said, they are two totally different phones. They both have great features that the other doesn't. That's mainly why you can't compare the two phones. When it comes to functionality its apples and oranges. Both are great, just way different. So relax with the iphone drama. Take it from somebody who REALLY had one. I see people here saying they had it for a week and sent it back. Oh please, that's just absurd. Internet talk is always so different from real talk. People that I know with bbs as a work phone and an iphone for a personal say the same thing always. They are both two totally different great phones. Here on Net land though, everybody has had a billion different phones that they get every month.

People complain about texting with a touch screen. Why would you get an iphone if you are a major texter? For your average texter the iphone touch screen is not bad at all. Iphones are media phones. That would be like a person way into music and videos complaining that a blackberry sucks as a media player. Its just outrageous. Time to put the immature nonsense to rest.

I think that Nextel users would be more excited about this.

Wi-Fi BlackBerry coming to Nextel, according to Dan Hesse | The Boy Genius Report

It is about time Nextel got a new Blackberry. That old 7100 series brick is not fun to lug arround.
