Best way to upgrade to Tour from Curve?

Hers is where I stand. I just got my curve. Maybe two months, I love it so far but have been having some problems. Sprint just sent me a brand new 8830. I am thinking of returning it. And use the 150 credit towards the tour. My question is, would I have to send back my curve or can I sell it. How much will the tour be at release.

i don't know if they would let you return it because you had it for two months, the tour at release would be 200 with instant and mail in rebate, and if you want to buy it at retail it would be 550$, if you sell your curve on ebay you probably won't get more than 200 for it, prices are doing down on the curve

Yes, but they are giving me a brand new curve tomorrow. I am returning the 8830 they sent me in the mail.

Johnathan S from Sprint's chatline told me that I can use my $75 credit as well as a mail-in $100 rebate that comes with new BlackBerries from RIM. So It's $175 off for having your plan for 1 year, and $250 off. after having your plan for 22 months.

I went thru the same thing, I had the Pre hated it and returned it but my thing is I've been with Sprint for a minute now and used my upgrade to get the Pre but I also had another phone to go back to once I returned my Pre. Don't wait until the last minute to try to return it especially if you want the Tour, how many lines did you get approved for? If it was more than 1 open up another line with a free phone. Return the Pre, cancel that line because you still have the right to do so. Now you don't have to worry about going past the 30 days. Once the tour is available all you gotta do is exchange the free phone for the tour.

I've had my curve for about 6 months now and its suiting me just fine. I suppose if I was up for new pricing I'd get it however don't think its worth the full price to upgrade. Just my 2-cents.

BTW- there is zero wiggle room from my experience. I'd also not wait 'til the last day. Gives too much room for error/problems.

I am trying to understand what you said, but I don't. If you get a new line with a new phone, wouldn't you have to return the new phone when you cancel the line? Can you explain this because I don't understand...TY
