7/12 availability = only through sprint.com & telesales, not any stores yet. Store availability 2 B announced @ a later date.

so... lll be ordering the phone online AS SOON AS ITS UP.

that reply was directed at me (twitter.com/prncssmelissa). The question was in reference to outside retailers -- Best Buy, etc. My understanding is that it will be available in the Sprint Retail Stores along with online and telesales, just not other retail outlets.

Because that was better planned. They didn't have nearly enough stock but had enough of a lead time to at least get some product in stores. I am guessing they are not launching in retail stores on the 12th because they can't get sufficient stock into the stores and would rather wait a few more days to get them in an avoid another Pre like event.

Local Best Buy here said they'd have em on the 20th? Not totally sure...I'll probably wait for Best Buy to have it so that I don't have to deal with the MIRs and whatnot...

Still no reliable info stating "no store sales" on July 12th. The "tweet" (god, I hate saying that) didn't necessarily count OUT storefronts. Come on peeps.
