Nice that they're pointing out the facts to their consumers; however, a better idea would have been to put out the facts to some of their CS Reps.

lol i was like wow go sprint!
o really like the ad and i have to say sprint has a better phone selection imo than its cdma counterparts. i used to be with verizon and there was very little selection, and not very much style there.
sprint has a larger variety of phones and also imo some of the best colors( cranberry pearl!, red, pink and black centros, the fusic or whatever its called in multiple colors.) - 04-13-2008, 04:03 PM #6

Sprint is the worst service i have ever had. There customer service is a joke They dont have mms on most of there phones. When i first got my phone with sprint i had to talk to 17 diffrent customer service representitives in 3 days before my phone worked right. Your on the phone forever before someone gets on and then they cant help you. There service works when it wants too there were times i could not even get service in the mall where i get all bars with ATT. If your only going to get this service because the phone is $99 please, please think about what your doing and do some research before you do because that $99 is going to be a huge headach in the long run. By the way this is my opinion have to love freedom of speach. enjoy it now before the govenment takes that away too.

Personally I like their new ad. It's straight forward, clean and makes them seem like they are really trying to change for the better. Too bad their service bites.

too aggressive? they're simply trying to point out their competitive advantages over one of their rivals (albeit on a gsm based network)...how is pointing out the truth in advertising deemed 'too aggressive' in this regards?
if anything; the ad should be commended with the word: 'finally'...as in finally there's no red tape or asteriks attached to what an ad claims.
now if it the ad stated that sprint received j.d. power and associates highest mark in customer service quality...that'd be a gaffe. - 04-14-2008, 11:24 AM #12

Their ad states the truth, it's not bashing the other carriers like Alltel (who just makes up lies) it's stating fact.
As far as everyone getting on here bashing Sprint, get a life! Almost everyone has had a bad experience with a carrier at one point, and you don't see everyone popping into those forums just talking crap about a certain carrier. Fact is, competition will make your carrier lower their prices and contiune to develop new technologies, so you should be happy when a competitor comes out with something new. The ad will attract more people to come to Sprint however it will also put more of a burden on Sprint's Call Center / Servers / etc.... I have a feeling there will be more voice disconnections with Sprint in the future because of the extra burden on their network *sigh*
Coming from Verizon to Sprint... I must say Sprint has the better $$ money deal however they "generally" lack in voice coverage( when compared with Verizon). Since I'm mainly do text, voice cov. is not as important and I can send text message with 1-2 bars... - 04-14-2008, 04:27 PM #17

i only meant aggressive by the fact that most ads (well the ones ive seen or read) usually just state their strong points w/o going directly at another company. for some reason i thought it illegal for one company to use another company's name with out its permission (i.e. how in commercials they always say "leading" whatever"
but anyhoo ive yet to have a problem with sprint. i havent been with them long but i went into a corp. store my plan was set up correctly, bills have been right so far, no dropped calls(although i do agree that depends on where u live).
maybe im just lucky lol! - 04-14-2008, 10:17 PM #19
I had Sprint last year for a few days and switched to a different carrier. The guy told me my plan was one thing and set it up as something else. Also, I had to wait a long time to reach customer service and the guy I spoke to was really rude. My brother has Sprint and has no problems with them. However, they are the last carrier I would consider switching to. I just feel customer service is very important and with Sprint it's not there yet.

Dan is my new friend. lol
Give the guy time. Considering there $99 dollar deal REALLY IS $99 bucks it is a **** of a deal. Unlike some other carriers where it turns out to be really $149 or more.
