No problems for me so far. I live in Tallahassee, Florida. I'm going to stick with Sprint until the end.

I'm in northern California, and the only thing that's happened here worth mentioning, is that my phone went into roaming mode at my house for about 5 minutes. My house is well within their coverage area, and this has only happened ONCE so far, so I will dismiss this. I just hope it's not a preview of things to come..

I have been calling about this for a few weeks. Our home coverage fell off a cliff. Finally I spoke with someone that said they would like to put an antenna in my house? They accidentally hung up on me when transferring me to the department to handle that. Can anyone give me details on this antenna?

Well ended switching to att on thursday and all I can say is its night and day difference for me. I had 0-2 bars with sprint around my house and a few dropped calls a week and battery life was pretty bad to with a airave also. Now with att since thursday have not dropped 1 call have 5 bars in my house(3g) and battery life is great!! I'm not here to bash sprint I was a loyal customer for 12 years but service has been getting worse and worse by the month. I'm willing to pay more for better coverage. i got really good deals on the torch.1cent and waived activation fee's. Very pleased so far!

Do you have a playbook? If so, were you able to bridge it? That's what ticks me off about ATT - how they blocked the bridge.

ATT & Verizon seem to have an arrogance about them, and Sprint service is beginning to suck for me as well. I switched to VErizon but closed it out when I found out they started billing me from the moment I ORDERED the phone even though it took me a week to get it. So for 1 week I paid for an activated phone that was in the mail. Even though I had the Track # to prove it, they didn't want to hear it. Eventhough they said the rule is in place because some people order a phone and don't activate it for a month. So what's that got to do with me when I can prove my phone was had not even been delivered. So I just dropped them. It was probably going to end up being too expensive anyway.

    I should get a pre-paid! LOLl!

They already fixed the bridging issue. Same with BB Maps, they can try and block stuff but it's pretty primitive blocking and not that hard to workaround at all.

No playbook for me yet BUT as papped said the issue is already fixed. Everything went real smooth and highly recommend trying att out. Good luck!

Anybody notice the coverage map on Sprint's website has like 95% coverage across the entire US. But then you load the map and look closely and it turns out that most of that is roaming lol

Yeah if you look under the thread "sprint may not be for everyone" here in the sprint section I posted a how to little test.
It is ridiclous how incorrect that national map is.

service has gone downhill for me as well (MD/DC area, sad huh) places I roam i get nothing now, and not even full bars, I kept calling and they finally released me, so based off what I use, I can pretty much go cheaper with any other carrier (granted not 1500 min, unl everything) but it will work (tmo being the first option)

Interesting I just found this thread. I've been with Sprint for years now and have no desire to leave due to the great cost of plans compared to the other carriers. However, we moved to a new home literally 5 miles from our previous home and our data service has absolutely tanked. We didn't get the best coverage at our previous home but the internet was still useable. Now, while it randomly works great at times, it is usually too slow to be useable and frequently times out. It can take several minutes to load a page of mostly text such as drudgereport.com.

I've spent hours on the phone with text support and have had them tell me 4 times now that a "ticket" will be created for the network engineers to look into it. Each time I call back and tech support says they have no record of a ticket being created.

I really don't want to leave Sprint and spend more for another carrier but my wife works from home and need reliable data. For those of you who've been released from your contract, how did you prove the service was not reliable where you live?

I just called about once a week and had a ticket opened everytime and saved the ticket # to my email. They can do a search on your lines and see how many dropped calls you have had per line. My area was in the red! And that was after them promising the network would improve in 30 days! MAKE SURE you are dealing with the retentions department! I asked to be released and after about 10 minutes it was a done deal. And onto att I went and service is 10x's better! They have great customer service also.

I called and got a ticket open. I then would call at least once a week to complain more. They told me over and over that it would be fixed. Nothing ever happened. I finally took screen shots about every hour to show how little service I had. I emailed over 100 screen shots over a two week span to a manager in the retentions department. I finally called her and she let me out quickly.

Yeah I notice Verizon has better coverage than Sprint. Don't get me wrong I was 'all in' with Sprint... But after the switch to Verizon, and the iPhone.. Never again Sprint, you really are sub-par. 9 years of Sprint

These carrier wars threads are silly. There is no best carrier. What is best for one, can be worst for another. Who cares what carrier you use as long as you get the service that you feel is adequate for your needs. For me, I live, play and travel in great Sprint areas, so I would not leave. I had AT&T for 7 years, and in the area of NY I live in, they were terrible. I don't believe that AT&T is a bad company, but for my needs they just didnt work out. I don't get carrier fanboys, these are F'ing cellphones, nothing more. If you can't get good Sprint coverage and you get great VZW coverage, then its a no brainer. Who would troll that? Its worth the extra money if your phone actually serves its purpose, but people trolling and talking about how their carrier is the best ever is just stupid.

Having thousands of posts on a message board is stupid too though, in my meager opinion. People take this stuff too seriously. If every cellphone tower in the USA stopped working for 2 days, I have a feeling the vast majority of you would have no idea what to do, it'd be like stranding you in the middle of the wilderness.

Default Thought I was the only one!!!

I sure am glad I read this thread. I live in Atlanta, not Warner Robbins or Duluth, but Atlanta( Buckhead) and I can not get service on Piedmont Rd. I was wondering what the heck was going on. I called Sprint and complained because I thought my Blackberry Style(which can be a nightmare) was defective. They sent did a hard wipe, and then replaced another one. I still get no service on Piedmont Rd, in Buckhead. It pi$$e$ me off, because I live in a major city!! I'm alway contemplating leaving, for no other reason then, Sprint having the least amount of new Blackberry's!!! We'll see

I don't think they are. I think that Sprint is no longer the best family plan option even though they have been for some time. They are adding $10 fees for all smartphones even if we upgrade to another data sipping BB. They apparently have lost a lot of coverage in areas that they used to have them. The 4G plan is in shambles (WiMax and LTE with lightsquared, but nothing is there's). Giving people less for more is never a way to make people happy. I'll be switching when the new Berry devices come out, and I've been with Spring for 10 years.

A lot of the people saying it were long time Sprint customers previously, so the notion that they are suddenly trolls for another carrier is kinda absurd

Not really....if you moved on...why do you feel the need to keep coming back into the Sprint forum beating you're chest about carrier XYZ is better...

Its better for YOU not for everyone! MOVE ON, NO ONE CARES You love Verizon now....If Sprint's Network really is SH*T there number's will start to prove that..

But again they've been tied for Best Customer Satisfaction with Big Red, their Churn is lowest its ever been, and they're adding subscribers again. So where's the problem for Sprint..looks like their going in the right direction to me.

Papped you're a known Sprint hater, you do nothing but Troll Sprint forums Bashing Sprint...everyone knows that. Enjoy Verizon, I'll enjoy my excellent Sprint coverage, Unlimited service, and Cheaper bill.

    Thanks,

Again if your not happy with Sprint, leave....I dont understand why ex-Sprint users must continue to troll the Sprint forum cheerleading Verizon...There is a Verizon forum for you guys, they'll welcome you with open arms.

I noticed none of the Ex-Sprint, Current Verizon users hang out (post) as much in the Verizon forums as the still do in the Sprint....Why are you guys so drunk on the Sprint forum....Go to your new Love (Verizon forums), leave us happy Sprint users be among ourselves.

As soon as the new Berry device are out I will. Won't be going to Verizon or AT&T though. I'm still a Sprint paying customer though, and have been for 10 years so until I leave I feel I can post here and don't need approval. I'd stay with them if they had a coherent plan for the future of the network or had actually rolled out their 4G (it's been well over two years and coverage suck) in a timely manor or even migrated to HSPA+. But just like RIM they are slow to move.

I'm SOOOOOO affected by this man. My internet doesn't work anymore for some reason...well it hasn't worked for the last 24 hours. I lose alot of calls, and it shows signal on my phone. This is making me upset b/c I pay for my service and I'm getting tired of calling in complaining. I guess, you pay for what you GET, huh? I've been with Sprint for 7 years and the past year has been the worst for me.
