    Default Sprint Speedtest

Can someone tell me if my Sprint speed is very good. It doesn't seem that fast to me.

I'm not sure how accurate that picture is, but I can tell you that my Sprint 9930 is MUCH faster then my Sprint 9650 ever was...not even a close comparison. Up to date technology usually enhances the speed of a phone. Sprint's browser speed is good enough for me along with TRUE UNLIMITED DATA. My car has 120mph on the speedometer, but do I really need to go that fast....hummm

Holy smokes!!! Do you ever check your messages????? By the looks of your screen shot, it appears you don't. I would lose my mind if I had that many messages that I haven't read or dealt with. People would feel ignored...

As far as your question, by the looks of your screenshot, it appears as if that speed test was of your wifi, not the speed of the Sprint network

sprint's network is slow. they should have invested all that "4g wimax" $ into strengthening their existing 3G network. now they're pouring $ into LTE. sprint needs new ceo.

Sprint's 3G speeds captured using Android and speedtest.net. From top to bottom. 1st 2 are Wash DC, 3rd is Frederick, Md
, 4th is Elizabeth, NJ, and the final 1 is at Dulles Airport away from the terminal.

I was just about to create a thread about Sprint speedtests, so thanks for getting this going.

I'm using Fancy Speed Test and am showing:
    Cellular:
    Ping: 268ms
    Download: 1.3mb
    Upload 110.8kb

    BIS:
    Ping: 1112ms
    Download: 363.4kb
    Upload: 197.2kb

I don't count wifi. Note: That's the fastest speeds for 'Cellular' I've seen. The test was done with 1xEV and full bars.
Why is it that when your contract commitment is up, the phone you always wanted is now old and the phone you now want won't be out until the next quarter?

My speeds have been deplorable since getting my iPhone in November. I'm in NC. I'm currently trying to figure a way out of my contract. Love my iPhone, hate the network.

My T-Mobile EDGE speedtests are worse than these. Not sure if location has anything to do with it. I basically have no internet. Really considering the switch.

My speeds were done natively on the phone and not over tether. I did have full bars when I ran my test though.

Not necessarily, just depends on where you are and how many are accessing the network.

Evdo rev a theoretical max is 3mbps, meaning most users will never see anywhere near even 1/3 of that.

48mbps hspa+ tends to average 5-15 mbps, way, way below theoretical.

Recently got LTE here in the sticks on the coast (Lake Jackson, Tx.). Averaging 23-29 mbps down and 16-19 up.
