there seems to be some hesitation in the Sprint comments I read. It doesnt sound like they are in testing (or potentially are still in the middle of it), but I could be completely wrong. They said they will support it, but did not clarify that it would be AT launch. They may see how the public receives BB10, and then base orders off that demand.

heheh,,, kinda funny how ppl are willing to shoot themselves in the foot 'cuz they THINK they're not gonna get their phone the second it comes out,,, knee-jerking & stomping your feet doesn't help,,, & you can't go by what tele-reps say,,, they're gonna push whatever they can before "10" comes out 'cuz once it does, what they're pushing now won't be in demand, BB's will be,,, so use your info wisely & pass the salt please..."THE GUY YOUR MOTHER WARNED YOU ABOUT !!!"
I'M ON MY OWN IGNORE LIST===

here's the thing we sprint customers need to remember, NO PHONE is available on "Launch Day". look at Iphones, they announce them and they aren't available for a week or two. Stop thinking that on Jan 30th BB10s are going to magically appear in stores, that is just the date that RIM is going to take the wraps off the phone and unveil them to the world. Then you have to remember there is shipping times to add in, so at best mid to late Feb is when it will start showing up in stores(although online orders should start sooner). Yes i am ready for my upgrade, but i won't toss my Torch 9850 or jump to another OS simply because i have to wait a small amount of time.

My contract with Sprint has been up for months. I too really hope they are an early adopter. If not, I have no problem canceling my contract and jumping ship. With BIS, we only use a fraction of carrier data. So even a "bucket" of 5g's per month is plenty. I've got 5 BB's on a Sprint family plan and all of us together rarely reach 5 gigs. AND, T-Mobile now has unlimited data as well.
Let's keep our fingers crossed and hope for the best. I've been with Sprint for years and would like to stay....but I gotta have my BB10!BB then, now, forever...yeah, I said it. 335039AC

I've been waiting since July to upgrade, and my entire family plan has been cancelable since Late November.
I've been considering jumping ship since summer anyway, and switching to either T-Mobile or Boost, but really, The-Mobile has the superior selection of Blackberry Phones, and that would influence me.
If T-Mobile has a BB10 phone before Sprint, I will probably jump ship.

James is spot on with this statement............
Bottom line is: If Sprint doesn't recognize the "historical" importance of BB10 and the unwavering dedication of BlackBerry enthusiasts such as ourselves, they will lose out big time.

I talked to the tech department at Sprint two weeks ago and they told me that they have gone through the training on the BlackBerry 10. Why would a company train an employee on a device if they wasn't going to sell that product. Sprint hasn't released any internal or external date of the release. I was told we all would find out by the last week in January or the first week of February.

I Talked to a couple of Sprint Reps in a couple of different locations and they had no idea about any Blackberry releases. I didn't expect them to. One of them did mention Sprint is playing the "wait and see approach". I was surprised to hear them say those exact words as that appears to be the buzz phrase coming from Sprint corporate. We then started talking about Windows phones and they seemed to have some info that the first Windows phone would be available from HTC sometime in March. So I am going to guess that 'wait and see" = 3-4 months from media launch. I did notice the 2 stores still had their blackberry displays with the Bold and Curve lines. I don't think it would be that hard to throw a Z10 out there with a little P.O.P.
