almost cancelled my contract everyday for 3 months straight because i was stuck with the terrible TOUR. it was the absolute worst blackberry phone I've ever used, including the LG Shine. i NEVER had a signal, where as other people with sprint blackberries, an evo, and plam all had full signal. if i needed to use my phone, including texting, i had to go outside of my home. the trackball was unbelievably bad. it took me 3 months of complaining and suffering they gave me the choice to swap to an EVO or 9650, i first chose an EVO and decided no way. To me the 9650 is the best Berry out right now. I know seven people with Torches. Three of them signed with AT&T just because of it, and now regret it. I've never met a Torch user that has said anything positive. The Style's camera is better, and come preloaded with OS6, but I've been hearing their OS 6 isn't too smooth. LOL at 9700. Had it on Tmo and switched to Sprint because of it. The 9780 is basically the 9650 finally made for GSM. Storm is crap. The closest i got to it was the 9330 Curve. Still didn't like the keyboard, though the 9330's is a hundred times better than the 85xx's. I would give a chance to any updated "Torch like" blackberry on Sprint though. I try most new phones on Sprint anyway because i don't have to pay for most of them. My brother works for Sprint
My best friend works for Sprint. That's why i use so many phones.
First to last. Blue Curve 8520. Bold 9700. Black Curve 8530. Tour 9630. Evo 4G. Tour 9630. Bold 9650. Epic 4G. Curve 8530. Red Curve 9330. Style 9670, Bold 9650.

I had no issues with my Tour, upgraded from a Curve 8330. I will say this though, after getting my Bold I would never go back to a Tour. The Bold 9650 is a far better device and added OS6 to boot....blows it out of the water!

I agree however, let's not forget there has been zero real evidence that this device exists or will ever come to Sprint. It is 100% rumor. I have yet to see it on a spy photo, or even a picture of a internal sprint document. Please if someone can provide me this evidence post it!

A CDMA Torch?? Sounds good to me. Personally I would like to see a 9780 come to Sprint.

I'll take this as a rumor and nothing else. When Kevin and his posse says so then, I'll have some faith in it. Hope this RUMOR is true though.

I talked to a rep from the BlackBerry Store in Farmington Hills, MI (one of very few ALL BlackBerry stores) and he said that at&t just has a six month exclusive with RIM for the Torch. He couldn't confirm that Sprint would be getting it in mid-Feburary, but would not be suprised if they do have a 4G Torch by then. I really hope Sprint does get a 4G Torch then, I already have an SP upgrade since June, and I'm holding off upgrading until then, and if by June 2011, RIM & Sprint still do not have somthing great, then i'm leaning to an EVO

I don't think RIM will bother with WiMAX. it's too little of a mobile phone use deployment, among other things.

Anything like the Curve on iDen? And we've known that it was a dying network for a while, whereas WiMax is currently a growing network. And with dual-use 3G-4G, they'd still sell just fine.
