thanks to both tritan and pmjohnson99 for your input. I think it would be totally foolish to wait after presenting these dates formally. Secondly, they would risk their credibility and potentially miss out on the "tweeners." You know, the people up for opting out of their contracts from competitors as well as themselves. It's a good opportunity to capture additional market share. Lastly, I think the new CEO has the Sprint ship moving a better direction. Any thoughts?

My info is an internal, weekly launch calendar that was released last night. There is no actual mention of a delay, just that they quietly removed it from the launch calendar for April. All of the codes for the other April 17th phones are clearly outlined, and there are no codes for the Curve...
Maybe it's not delayed, but it is no longer on the launch calendar with the other devices being released on April 17th (Katana LX and Sierra 597U EV-DO Card).
I wouldn't expect anyone to notice it missing except hardcore people like me who are anxiously waiting, you know what I mean? It's not something that they would broadcast to all employees saying "Hey! The Curve is delayed!" It was quietly removed from the launch calendar.
I was the guy claiming it'd be a soft launch of April 17th and official launch of April 20th, and I swore that'd be the date. And now that SAME SOURCE where I received this information initially before April 17th/20th was common knowledge, says that it's no longer releasing this month at all.
Take it as you will, I want this thing just as badly as everyone else and I'm PO'ed, but there's really no reason to be since there was never an official announcements, just an internal blurb mentioning the "Curve 8830 Titanium" releasing. - 04-10-2008, 08:57 PM #354
Thanks Phobium for the info. I have been talking with a person I know who is an owner of one of the Sprint franchise stores and he is calling me tomorrow because he receives his new phone release materials and information. I really hope the Sprint Curve will be included.

Seems no worse than the AT&T Titanium which isn't all bad and better than the boring 8300 silver. I would've liked charcoal or black, but I can live with Titanium.
What's so ugly about it?Palm Pilot-->Handspring Visor-->Treo 300-->Treo 600-->Treo 650-->Treo 700p+E62-->Treo700p+Curve (8300)-->Curve (8330)-->Tour (9630)->EVO - 04-10-2008, 11:54 PM #361
That's what I thought. . .Only color schemes I've seen for sprint's curve is the charcoal or that dark army green I've seen on some threads/sites.
Curious, Why no Wi-Fi? its the one upgrade that will probably be on every pda/smartphone by the end of the year? it's already on the 8320, so is it marketing to make more money later?Last edited by BioGenecide; 04-11-2008 at 12:37 AM.

neither one is the sprint curve in this picture. if you zoom in you will see what looks to be at&t at the bottom of the right one. also the keys are the wrong color for the sprint curve.
when you zoom in you will see verizon on the bottom of the left one.
oh, and when you zoom in on the one on the right you can see the at&t in the top middle of the screen. - 04-11-2008, 08:33 AM #363
holy crap batman...you guys are freaks!!!
honestly, i posted that picture thinking it truly was sprint's curve (looks like it to me); but yet some of you guys did some chemical analysis testing on the picture, zoomed in, cropped it, chopped it, litmus-tested it, gave it a lie detector test....and concluded it's verizon's curve on the left.
man some of you guys should consider working for the cis in your city's police dept.; or for the cia or something.

bio...whatever...just by looking at it w/o analyzing it further (which i didnt do)...like from first glimpse; it looks like sprint's curve.
i dish out a whatever to lembowski too...isn't it funny that he says his roommate has the curve...but yet he can't even post pictures to prove that he's got it right NOW. he'll probably post pics on the day of release or soon thereafter...well what's the fun in that? by then...probably half the ppl in this thread will be posting on crackberry through their brand spanking-new curve from sprint. - 04-11-2008, 11:39 AM #367

yeah i meant csi; typo.
anyway; i posted that original picture sincerely thinking it's sprint's version because this whole time i thought it looked like verizon's version...but obviously not. so my bad. and actually now that i think about it; the verizon color scheme isn't as FUGLY as i thought...the black buttons on silver/gray background contrast looks sharp.
it's obvious here...
