songs on 8330
So i use to use my ipod for music but it is getting old and battery last for not even an hour, so I was wondering how many songs I can get on my berry with the 1gb card. I really do not have many apps and stuff just wondering an estimate I will eventually make it to the store to buy a better card.

Well IMO the BB does a great job in the music department. NOt the best, but gets the job done. I had a 1gb card and have about 120 songs with maybe 200-300mbs to spare. I upgrade to a 4gb card and I can easily hold 500+. I only have about 180 cus I get bored with songs too easy, along with Slacker radio with 2 cache stations I still have 2.2gbs left. So it really depends on the size card you have.

I'd buy a new card, mostly because 4gb and 8gb are really cheap and odds are your 1gb card is a low class, which means lower read/write speeds.
Opt for a class 4 or class 6. I'm running a Bold now, but my Bold is a better media player than my Ipod was and with Slacker I can also do streaming, customizable radio AND cache stations to the memory card...My website http://papped.webatu.com - 02-26-2009, 02:46 PM #4
Just remember you will use more battery life playing MP3s for hours on end.

Really depends on how you encode your music.
But, no matter what you do, it comes down to managing your music properly to fit your storage. I have a playlist in iTunes that takes 1.5GB of my favourite tunes, and I let missing sync keep it organized. It gets refreshed every sync, so it never really gets old.
