If you do not have an 'Everything Data' type plan, there is a charge for it. It is possible you heard mention of that, but a fast search revealed no mention of any new changes to the current way it is packaged.

Even if they did start charging for it, if it's included already in your plan you'll be grandfathered in. And if you don't have a plan that includes free Sprint Nav, switch now if you really believe this is true.

If you've got the Simply Data unlimited plan like I do, you'll see that it's included in the bulleted list under the plan details.

I use Sprint navigation a lot. I volunteer for two animal rescue groups and I'm out and about a lot shuttling cats/dogs to the vets and in between foster homes and adoption events. Seeing as how most of the neighborhoods are of the cookie cutter variety with every fourth house being the exact same thing, Sprint's navigation thing has saved my hide more than once.
