How long....
I've previously had a blackberry pearl, but just upgraded to the curve today. Got everything set up at sprint, but as soon as I walked out I noticed there was no browser on my phone, no sprint TV, no sprint navigation, etc. I went back in the store to ask, and they told me all of that stuff would show up whenever I got connected to the blackberry network, which would take up to an hour.
Three hours later, I've got nothing. Is this normal? Still not connected to the blackberry internet service. The rest of my phone works, phone calls and texts, but the most important part of my phone doesn't, the internet.
Any ideas what could be wrong? Or were your phones like this also? When I activated my pearl, everything was working instantly, which is why I'm so confused about this taking forever...
Thank you! - 12-26-2008, 10:41 PM

Yea this is a part of things your going to have to learn to deal with, The sprint store reps really dont allways share everything then can, Honestally I feel its because they really dont no that much
when you get a new BB activated it can sometimes take up to 4 hours for the BIS and then for your BB to be registered with a data network, first timers find this anoying but its part of the game
Enjoy the BB and welcome to CB - 12-27-2008, 05:37 PM #5

Congrats!
My BB's internet or Sprint services didnt work either right after I picked it up. Turns out the ditzy girl at Best Buy signed me up for the a plan with no data or BB, although we both discussed in detail the $89.99 data plan. Called Sprint, took care of it instantly and I had internet within minutes.
I had a Pearl before my Curve and I cannot believe I forced myself to type on the Pearls keyboard. Ugh. I LOVE having a nice full Qwerty now
