Vlingo works fine for me.

New free version is horrible. If you want to send a text message or email, recipient is required to have Vlingo also. Only way you can send it to anyone is if you buy it for $18. If you have the old version that you can send text and email to anyone, keep it, do not upgrade unless you plan on blowing $18.
