SS Update Status forces BB to make it a favorite

I'm sure who's bright idea this possible "feature" is, but it's quite annoying and I think it's egotistical of SocialScope to even implement this. If you are using OS6, like I am, head to the "Favorites" Panel. You'll see a little icon, that when you click on it, opens up the SocialScope "Update Status" interface. I can not only unmark it as a favorite, I can also delete it. But when I reboot the device or do a battery pull, there it is, right where I left it.

Has anyone else seen this?

I've reported it through Twitter and the feedback, but haven't heard anything.

It's starting to get quite annoying that I can't even control my own device. I thought that's one of the many reasons we chose BB over iPhone.

Temporary fix maybe, but have you tried just hiding it?
