If i ever date another woman again im going to make sure that a Blackberry is something that she doesnt have. My girlfriend is the best, but she uses hers to the hilt. Its nothing more than a Pickmeup. "pickmeup this" "pickmeup that". My half hour commute turns into a hour with all these pickmeups. Thank god she doesnt know how to use this PIN feature, or id be in for a whole world of hurt (and a expensive gas bill and grocery list).

The worst part of this whole shindig is that after i buy all these ingredients im expecting some gormet feast when i get home. Nope. All the crap that was on her "pickmeup" list goes right into the cupboard or the fridge never to be seen again. In goes the crap i buy, and out comes Ramen noodles or Tuna Helper. Funny thing is she never includes Pepto on her "pickmeup" list.

This woman reminds me of the Wizard of OZ scene when the house is flying through the air, and Dorothy looks out the window only to see Mrs Gulch riding by on her bike with that funky old lady bike riding music playing in the background (da da daa da da daa da da da da). Except this time its me looking out the window in horror and seeing my girl on that bike waving around her blackberry around like its the holy grail, and screeming what she wants me to pick up on the way home. And still that music is playing!!! arghhh!!

Take it from me guys...dont date woman with BB's. What starts out as good PINning fun might just turn into a life of horror. (and large grocery and gas bills)

Of course this thread was meant to be taken lightly.

If you know the PIN of another BlackBerry device, you can essentially send unlimited text messages to each other. Instead of going through the carrier's network, it's really going through RIM's network straight device directly to device.

Two methods of doing it - from your email app, it sends just like an email message (and basically appears like one to the person who receives it), or by using the popular BlackBerry Messenger app - which is like thread SMS. The messages are stored in conversations, plus you can send images and voice notes directly to another BBM contact.

This BlackBerry 101 explains messenger: Lecture 8: How To Use BlackBerry Messenger | CrackBerry.com

And for finding people's PINs and tracking those of your contacts, if you're a Facebook user I recommend adding our newly launched BlackBerry PIN Exchange app to your facebook. www.pinexchange.com

Hope that Helps!

I know where my PIN number is located, I just haven't used it for anything yet. But maybe this is a good time to start.

Oh, and perhaps I need to change my handle to Nevada_SINGLE_Dad so people don't get the wrong idea about my marital status. Regardless, "SWK" (single with kid) is usually about as much of a chick magnet attribute as a pocket protector and adhesive tape around your glasses.

Yeah my ex wasn't very tech savvy and she would always make fun of me for checking mine all the time and using it for directions and stuff. But she's an ex.... I think she'd hate me even more if she saw how much I use my ipod touch....

I love my old iPod, but I'm dying for a touch all the same!!!

Since this is the singles thread...lol

Ever use any dating websites? I had an eHarmony membership, was the biggest waste of money I've ever spent in my life.

I heard that Match was a lot better than Eharmony. You should give it a shot, but it's also expensive.

Maybe. eHarmony kept matching me with people I had hardly anything in common with. As you can imagine, the conversations never went very far...

Match is usually the same way too. I did a little work on match and although I met some cool people, i find that it gets kind of weird and the conversations get dull after the initial "hello, my name is...and i work for" conversations. It's either hit or miss.

What else is there, though? Once you're out of college and what not, it's so hard to meet people. There's not relationship potential with picking up people at bars. Other than that, there's blind dates set up by friends...and work. lol
