smrtguard error upon account expiration

So I had smrtguard running in its trial period. Then the trial period expired and it constantly gives me a warning icon on the home screen. When I open smrtguard it says it's unable to backup because the account has expired. Fine, but then I turn off automatic backup and the error stays. I've rebooted the phone and smrtguard still shows the error icon on the homescreen and tells me that it can't backup the phone, even though I've now turned backup off. I'm having to delete smrtguard just to remove that message.

Hi Furballz!

Here is how to eliminate the expiration icon from the homepage and everywhere else it appears:

1. Open SmrtGuard
2. Click OK when the error screen appears
3. Click the BB back button to the application main screen
4. Click the BB back button again
5. Choose "My Account" from the menu
6. Click the BB back button again
7. Choose "Dismiss Homescreen Warning" from menu

Ok I tried it and the homescreen warning is now gone. Though every time I open smrtguard it gives me the "smrtguard encountered error while backing up your data...." where I have to click OK, then it takes me to the backup screen. Will this always happen?
