I ordered bundled battery and charger for BB9900 few days ago, and I checked on the DHL tracking it arrived BKK already. However I received a phone call this afternoon from DHL Thailand saying they can't send me the package yet.
The DHL officer said it is because of the battery. She said this is not allowed to import to Thailand, and if I want it I need to provide my ID such as passport or something like that, and go to near by government to apply "Approval of Import" document and some other documents I have never heard of. I really don't know how this could happen, especially I actually order the items from th.shopblackberry.com
Before I see the DHL tracking report, I thought I am order from th.shopblackberry.com, which should be a website in Thailand, and this shipping should be shipped from Thailand. However, I found that it is shipped from somewhere in Europe. Nevertheless, I think if I can place the order on this website, and it is clearly indicated it is shipped to Thailand address, how come the government officer stop the shipment?
As BB9900 is in Thailand market for over or about 6 months already, I really have no idea why I can buy a whole set of cell phone in Thailand, but I can not buy/import a battery here in Thailand.
I have sent email to shopblackberry.com, and hopefully I will get the result as soon as possible. I don't know how to do the return, since I haven't receive anything and I can't return something I don't have. And I don't think it is my problem and I should apply import permit by myself. Further, I think they have no reason to ask for a copy of my passport.
Anyway, I will update the latest information.....
Anyone has the same experience?
