| | Problem with WAP Site
Sometimes when I post on the WAP sita via BB, my post won't go through.. or I don't see certain threads updated all the way. My posts won't show up or it'll take hours for topics to update & be shown as posted to.

After every post, I hit refresh and everything shows. It's only a problem on BB Browser, for me. On Opera Mini no prob.

Ah, everyone's favourite problem...
For whatever reason (poor coding?), you need to refresh the page everytime you do something in the "mobile" forums - after you post your reply, refresh; everytime you read a thread, refresh (so that they show as read in the topics list), and so forth...
You can either use your browser's menu, or just hit the "R" key (as long as you're not in a text-entry box).
It's tedious and maybe one day they might fix it (maybe), but until then, that's the way this forum works...
Hint, hint; nudge, nudge; wink, wink Admins.

This also includes a post you looked at in WAP mode and then later go back to the New Posts link and it shows it updated. When you go back to that post you have to refresh. You also have to refresh the New Posts screen (I think) to see changes reflected.

I had wondered about this.
I've actually conditioned myself to hit R on every page I load if I'm not in operamini.
Its kinda cool how you can reprogram your brain to allow for bugs and glitches in tech equipment.

Wish I had a quarter for every time I hit refresh in a day!
The first time I tried to post on CB I didn't realize you had to refresh for the post to show up on the BB, so I kept retyping it and sending it not realizing that I was posting the same thing over and over again. I was finally clued in by one of the many fine members. I must have been one annoying Newbie huh? I was so embarrassed!

Have talked about this quite a few times in the forums... a WAP site overhaul is in the works.
Thanks for the patience!

I didn't see this suggestion above, but the admins should think about adding the page options to the bottom of the thread as well as the top. Once you read through a page you have to scroll all the way back to the top to get to the next page. Just a suggestion for the lazy of thumb!

Posted from my CrackBerry at wapforums.crackberry.com | This is an excellent suggestion. It is a bit of a nuisance to have to scroll back up to go to the next page. Hope this gets looked at in the overhaul of he WAP site Kevin mentioned.
