Default What does it take to work for Mobile Nations?

I'm at a crossroads in my work life. I love doing what I do, but I don't feel the rainbows and ponies and butterflies I did when I started. I do however have those feelings when I get my daily dosage of Crackberry and tech news in general. I'm hooked. But I want more. So here I am wondering what it takes to become a Mobile Nations employee. Is there an apply button somewhere? What qualifications are necessary? Do I have to be a published writer like Kevin or Ritchie? What are the working conditions like? What's the pay like? Do you get benefits? Does CrackBerry Kevin have a day job? Should I have one too? All these questions circling around my head.

My name is Mikel Calderon, and I am a Crackberry addict.

But seriously, I'd like to pursue a job writing about mobile technology. Where can I apply?

I'm sure if you PM any of the moderators they can send you in the right direction.

    Sleep deprivation.

There is no apply button.. stick around long enough, help out in the forums, be a good forum member, treat people with respect, drop some tips to the tip line, maybe even write up a couple of your own posts of thought pieces on your mind and send them in.. stuff that is relevant to the site. Write up some great tutorials for the forums, seek out holes in our offerings and fill them -- get noticed.

Honestly, we don't actively seek out people and you don't INSTANTLY "get hired" you start off casual and go from there. Not gonna lie, most people who try out the casual / part time stuff.. no matter what their background, burn out awful quickly. It's a 24/7 days a week thing with little to no sleep and if you're REALLY good at it, be prepared to lose anything resembling a life -- blogging will be your life.

Most people can't deal with that.
Excuse me, I'm making perfect sense. You're just not keeping up.

At this point, I'm absolutely ready to take the plunge. Expect me to go all out on this venture. I think I owe it to my self to have something to look forward to. But the question lingers... Is this something I can make a living off of? If not, its cool, I'll just have to find a way to pay my bills at the end of the month. But it would be a great honor to be inducted to the ranks of the great crackberry bloggers.
