Site suggestion -- show active members
I have a suggestion for the Crackberry forums (applicable to wpcentral and iMore forums too). Android Central forums lists members and active members. It is the only Mobile Nations forum to do so. I'd like all Mobile Nations forums to add that feature.

Hey Lak,
I removed that stat a long time ago (probably shouldn't be on AC either) as it's not really representative the way the forum cms calculates it, the reason being we're not just a forum community. We have a lot of members who register to post comments to the blogs, but never jump into the forums, and a lot of members who register for ringtones/wallpapers, but don't participate in the forums either.
I more so look at forum activity as the benchmarks that matter... how many threads and posts were getting each day and how many people are new members vs. old members that are posting. I guess those are stats that I mainly look at though... not sure if they're spit out anywhere where you can view them (i guess you could count them each day).
Will think on this though.. I get what you're suggesting. If implemented would just want to do so in a way that's representative and consistent. We're doing some cross site work over the next few months (unified login, as many people have been suggesting we do for a long time now) so as we do that project work maybe we can tie this all into there.Kevin Michaluk

If you want realtime monitoring and display of online activity for each member... I can think of better uses for the server's clock cycles and bandwidth.

Universal login for all Mobile Nations sites would be awesome.
I also get what you're saying about forums vs blogs. I never bothered much with Crackberry's blogs, since the themes and celebrity sightings were not much interest to me. I follow Android Central's blogs but rarely visit its forums. I hadn't read much of wpcentral's blogs until recently; now I split my time about equally between blogs and forums there. I've never bothered much at all with iMore, whether forums or blogs.
