crackberry website must become more mobile friendly
Crackberry must revamp it's normal, not mobile website to work better for, jeeze, I guess mobile devices.
I'm running a brand new 9810 Torch on 4G and Crackberry is still one of the longest web pages to load.
Isn't the future mobile devices? Even on my pc Crackberry takes too long to load.
CB, fix your site! Love ya! But imprve your site!!!

Try the mobile site, they made some changes to it a few weeks ago.

Is Opera Mobile (not mini) available for Blackberry? I use it for my primary browser on my Android, and it's blazing fast compared to my stock one. If it is i'd recommend trying it out.

I use Dolphin HD on my Amaze and CB never stutters. I do find it ironic, though, that CB *seems* to work better on Android browsers than ones available for Blackberries, lol. I was playing around on a 9810 the other day while at AT&T with a question about my 9700. I did notice quite a bit of checkerboarding when I visited CB

I agree CB is painfully slow on any mobile device, especially considering Blackberry's were always known to have sub-par browsers which makes it kinda ironic. Even with my PlayBook, it takes the longest out of all the sites I visit to load completely. I have made it a habit to disable Javascript on my PB before visiting CB. And now with all the Mobile Nations header/footer links and content, it doesn't help.
And I find the mobile site a little to basic for a smartphone device these days.
Still love ya CrackBerry.Torch bridged with Playbook. - 01-12-2012, 11:07 AM #12
i havent had too much trouble ever loading the full site on my android devices. Loading on the storms was a different story. it laoded fairly well on the 9860 when i played with that. Much better than the 9550 i have

It is slow on my laptop as well, there is just too much stuff on the page.
I won't even get started on my PlayBook...

Through bridge, cb loading on the pb can be slow but it varies...I can wait as I prefer to view websites on the playbook

But through wifi I find crackberry loads quickly on the pb

First Mat - congrats on Moderating - seriously - well earned.
Second typing on each of the mobile themed CB forums is horrible on the 9850/9860 both 7.0 and 7.1. So laggy as to make it unusable. I have to load the full site. Tried Wap, 9550, and the new mobile theme. Honestly I can't believe there are not more reports of this.Ad Lucem

I have an HTC Titan as my daily driver and CB Mobile and full loads in seconds and have absolutely no issues. I also tested it on my HP Pre 3 and Motorola Atrix and no issues at all.

It's about time CB launcher was upgraded to account for the new devices. I checked again just now and the latest release is still at 2.09

The new CB mobile works well on my 9810 and PB. No complaints here.

I can't stand the native browser even on bbos7. I never use it for any pages. For me Opera is the only way to go.
As for CB I use the mobile page. Its a lot cleaner for viewing on my 9790 mainly because of screen size. Loading seems to be fine for me though, just a tad slower than the mobile site. - 01-12-2012, 05:31 PM #24
Go to Macstack.net. Although that sight is run by a dictator wannabe, it's a perfect example of a clean full site that is mobile friendly.
