Default IE10 + Windows 8 + CrackBerry Forum = Enter Key Not Working

    Much like the title says,

I'm running Windows 8 + IE10 and can't get the return key to send a break line on any new topic or reply window.

Is this a known fault and is it being looked into ?

Or am I the only one with this issue.

Hmmmm... we haven't encountered that issue before. Have you experienced the same thing on other sites?

To create and write this post did you happen to use Chrome or something? Is this the first time you've tried on IE10? If so please try clearing cache and try again.

Ps: we're you able to log into CrackBerry okay via IE10?

I am using Chrome yes, only IE10 seems to be the culprit here. And it is still behaving the same now.

Do either of you have Windows 8 Pro x64 + IE10 (Desktop Mode or Metro Browser) to test in ?

I have reset all settings. And it still exhibits the same issue.

I have also tested this on Windows 2012 Server x64 RTM + IE10 (Desktop & Metro) and the results are the same.

I can login fine and reply fine and post new topics fine, but the edit window will not let me press enter so it would only be a one line new topic or reply.

To complicate matters this problem isn't present on forums.wpcentral.com

    Hope the extra info helps

I don't have access to Windows 8, or IE10. But, try this as a test: write a response to this post in Notepad or something, then copy and paste it into the reply box via IE10. While the text is in the window, can you edit it then and thus press enter?

Lastly, I'd suggest running IE10 in IE8 mode (right click on the icon and choose compatibility). Does that help? Merely curious now...

Compatability view does nothing on either machine,
However copying and pasting this from notepad does let me have line breaks
Lol - oh well - back to Chrome for now
I should point out that it has removed the extra line breaks (as it should have had a clear line between each line)
And also it won't let me press enter to add more.
    Hope this helps

Thanks for testing this out. James will have to look into this further. Seems to be related to CrackBerry and IE10.

For whoever is looking into this, it is still very much a problem, as you can see for my one line answers. Is no one else using IE10 here ? This is also on Windows 7, along with Windows 8. So there must be other people suffering from it. You cannot hit Enter and break line. Can this be moved to the top of the priority list.
