Policy Regarding Sticky Threads

Hey All,

Just wanted to drop a quick note in regards to Sticky Threads. We've been trying to figure out the best way to show all the stickies we can, without cluttering up a forum too bad.

The issue comes into play when browsing the wapforums on your BlackBerry. If a forum has like 10 stickies, every time you're constantly having to scroll over all the stickies before you can get to other posts.

So after some trial and error, here's our "loose" policy were going to try and stick to help keep things clean and friendly yet still helpful:

- 5 stickies max per forum
- In the case where a forum has more than 5 really popular threads (ie. Storm forum) we'll create a new Sticky thread called * Popular BlackBerry Device Name Posts * which will contain the links to all popular threads (once they get over 10,000 views or so).
- This way you'll never be more than a click away from all the past/present sticky threads.
- If a new thread pops up and becomes popular, we'll potentially temporarily unsticky a thread (will still be on the pop thread page) to make room for the new one. So there may be a bit of shuffling around here and there.
