I don't like contracts. So either the Next which you can then pay off sooner eventually if you have the cash, or buy outright. Again, if you can afford to.

I did Next 24, which, in my opinion, is a bit of a misnomer because it is actually 30 months of installments at around $21 a month. I can pay it off any time and am eligible for an upgrade after 24 months. Also had to pay sales tax on the phone up front.

I did Next 24. $21.60 a month for the next 30(?) months. I couldn't afford to buy outright, otherwise I would have had one already. And my contract doesn't expire until July. So I went with the Next plan with the lowest payments. You do have to pay the taxes upfront, though. I'm keeping my Q10 for now, just in case.

I did $199 with 2-year contract. My monthly service is paid by the job, and I have yet to see ANY smartphone on the market worth me paying $500+ for. No need for me to worry about getting a new device sooner, since AT&T is always at least 6 months late with them anyway.

Have a Q10 for work so was using an iPhone 6 for personal use. Traded in the iPhone 6 and paid full retail but it was about $300 plus tax and I own it without a contract. I do owe $140 ETF to Verizon but whatever. I got the phone I want so that's all I care about.

$199 with two year contract. It was the only option that would let me keep my grandfathered unlimited data plan. The Next Plans would've changed my data plan therefore losing the unlimited. Plus the rep said with the next plan my monthly bill would increase as well. The rep was really trying to get me on the next plan but didn't work.

Considering they throttle you after 5 gigs you may as well have went the other route. Don't you notice the slower speeds? I wouldn't call it unlimited without an asterisk.

And your monthly bill would increase on the Next plan because your adding payments per month for the phone.

I agree with the * next to unlimited but hopefully with the what the FCC has been doing it will change. But then again maybe it won't.

10 days ago went with the next 24 for mine and wife's new Passports, added a third line and jumped up to a 10 GB Plan (ends up being cheaper for 3 lines than 6GB) with roll over. Going with a 2 year contract raises the cost of my monthly plan by $15 a month which ends up costing a good chunk more than the next 24 over the same period. Shopped around with Verizon and the carriers are making it more attractive to stay out of contracts. Couldn't be happier with our new Passports by the way!
