Well i thought that the official update would have some bug fixes for my Z30. Turned out a few of them are still here. First of all mobile hotspot doesn't work, it keeps requesting for a password and only says connecting. This happened even with 10.3 and 10.3.1 leaks, but now even with the official one. Secondly the colors of the drop down menu when moved flicker and change in a really weird way, this happens with thesame colors. Is there anybody else facing these problems? If so have you found any fixes?

Would you suggest / recommend a reboot after the upgrade?

Always, one of my updates last year I couldn't open the camera app, always crashed. Got really frustrating. Rebooted phone and it worked again.

384MB? Did you update from a leaked 10.3.1 OS?

Do you have a Hotspot feature that you pay for? Some carriers like Verizon do not allow for that feature to be activated on the phone if you are not paying for it.

Yes I updated from a leaked os 10.3.1, before that I had leaked 10.3 and they all had the same issues.

No that's not the case as I have an unlocked Z30 and I use it with vodafone. It used to work justfine with os 10.2.1, so i am not sure what the problem is :/

Define hard Re-Boot..? Are we talking hold up/down volume buttons..? or is it simply turning device off.? (both seem identical to me)...a true hard re-boot would in my opinion be a batt removal which we cant do.

Hard reboot is holding volume buttons. It's never been recommended to do battery pulls on BlackBerry 10 devices.

yea..thats what I thought...to me, holding down both vol buttons is identical to simply shutting down the phone...ie: "Soft Boot".
....imo the term "Hard Boot" does not apply to devices with non removable batteries.

cheers,...an come on Telus git yer $hite together with this update will ya...!!

Hotspot, even on an unlocked device, still polls the carrier for authorization. This is evidenced by my unlocked -3 -- With a Verizon SIM Hotspot comes up fine. On Straight Talk it never authorizes, so I can never connect to my phone.

This may have been different on 10.2 and was perhaps changed per carrier request. Either way, that's how it works, which is a reasonable assumption based on the testing done above.

Same here wifi reception is poor, but as I said it just may be because prior to the official 10.3.1 I had a leaked os, not sure though :/

Perhaps you might be right, but to tell the truth I have never heard of such thing before, that's because with every other smartphone that I have used ( htc one m7, nokia lumia etc) it never requested such thing as carrier approval.
