I just got a bluetooth to use with my 8310. The man at the at&t store assured me it would work but I am not able to use it to listen to my mp3's. Any advice would be appreciated. Thank u!!!

As far as I know, bluetooth headsets (for phone calls) don't double as earphones. They make bluetooth headphones though, which are about $100 that will do just that.

I thought bluetooth headsets like the Motorola S9 allowed you to listen to music and answer calls. I have been looking at getting something and the S9 isn't that expensive.

if the s9 works, please post it here. I had a windows mobile device before the 8310 and there were at least 2 good third party apps that redirected all audio to the bt headset

I have the s9's and they work as both. I bought it to listen to music with my axim (i get tangled in headphone cords). I now use them as a headset with my Motorola, and some of my friends used them on their phones. I didn't even know they had a mic at first until a friend showed me.

I get my curve today and will try both, then post my findings.

The bluetooth headset and the phone have to be capable of sending/receiving music. I have a moto H700 headset and I was able to listen to music when i had a moto Q9c (WM). Now with the bb curve, I cant .... So i don't think BBs r cable of sending usic through bluetooth...

I'm using a SouthWing (SA 505) StereoHeadset and it works fine with my Curve 8320. I don't use the headset for phonecalls (what is possible), I only use it for listening to radio streams or mp3 files.

got my curve 8330 and the bluetooth stereo works. I'll make a phone call as soon as it gets activated.

EDIT: I made a phone call and it works just fine with my s9's.

I have an S9 headset and love it. It works great with my Curve, for music and phone calls. A little(day or so) familiarization time is all that is required to use the headset to it's full potential.

Do you guys have any certain settings that you changed to get this to work?

I have a Jawbone 2 that I used to be able to listen to music through on my Q9c (so the Jawbone is capable) but with my Curve 8330 I can't listen to music through the Jawbone.

I hope there is some setting I have overlooked.

    Thanks
