    Went to a banquet last night....thought I'd carry my blackberry with me instead of switching to the 6 plus for the night.
    Passport camera is ugh....-img_20150131_214257.jpg I kept having to hold my phone still, tap the screen hoping for a focus, and a bunch of disappointment.

    I hope a software update fixes this. I don't want to have to leave my BB at home when I go to sporting events like Charlotte Hornets games.

    I'm disappointed in this camera on this phone. I think my z30 takes better pics.

    I agree with you....for a 13mp camera I find the camera sucks. You have to be able to hold the camera still and even then, are not guaranteed to get a good picture. Any phone I have ever had, I could snap a quick photo and get some exceptional shots. That would be one of my biggest gripes.

    True. Passport Camera is not the best out there. But rather than the hardware, I think software might be the problem.

    They are implementing changes in pp camera. Don't know when it will be working good as LG g3 as both have same sensors.

    The camera module on my passport died a couple of days ago. I went to the BlackBerry expert Centre this morning, Sunday, and had it replaced within 30 minutes. I have noticed that the camera does not hunt when focusing as much as before.

    Good enough for everyone at G8... good enough for me.

    I agree the camera is terrible! I have two young daughters and I can never get a decent picture of them, camera takes ages and you lose the shot! It's the worst thing about the phone.

    The auto focus is indeed slow. But I find holding it with two hands and using the space bar to take the picture really helps.

    The camera itself takes good shots, but it takes way too long to focus and the subject needs to be perfectly still.

    Set it to action mode, it focuses much faster. I hope for a fix but with this setting it is already better and pictures are of awesome quality, especially in dark situations.

    Totally agree about poorly camera on PP especially on low light conditions or mixed light. Out of focus and blur pictures. My sold Q10 better than my PP now

    The developer has now made camera++ for the Passport.

    The Passport camera is capable of taking great photos when paired with the right software. Hopefully the stock camera will be the updated soon, but until then, and to complement the stock app, I'm using camera++.

    Not until BlackBerry put out a software update for it in a form of an OS update or a module update, this kind of complain will continue popping up...
