Well, aside from the issues FB was having with being DDoS'd earlier... you should see if there is an updated version available logically.

Due to Android v5 compatibility even Android 4.3 devices are showing this error (So is BB10.3 OS).
Android L has created a big fracture in Android ecosystem and many applications don't have back compatibility.
The situation going to worse with increasing number of Android applications who supports Android 4.4 and 5 only.
So unless Blackberry comes with Android 4.4 compatibility stay with old versions of Apps.

yeah thats why I made this thread to make us aware of the latest android facebook update now I have to manually download the latest apk before this update

I don't use Facebook Android, but I'm curious where you download older APKs? Is it directly from Facebook, or Google Play on the desktop?

Edit: Not quite awake yet. Hadn't thought about other places like Aptoide.

I wonder if there should be a thread about being careful when you upgrade Android Apps in general. This is likely coming. It will give a new rise to sites like Aptoide that have older versions

Just updated Messenger from Play Store and it's not working.
Now downloading from Nokia Store and hope it works.
Facebook also failed to work.
Now reverting for old version.
Update : Only Facebook 24.0.0.30.15 is compatible, Any version after that is not working due to runtime incompatibility.

Have you used facebook on android before? You might have activated /participated in their beta test program. If you do, you must leave the program first before you can install the regular one.

For some reasons Facebook Beta won't work at all times.

Latest Android versions of all the Angry Birds game no longer work, and now Facebook Messenger doesn't work either. Same error "unfortunately "insert App" has stopped working. Then you get kicked back to the home screen. I have been unsuccessful in finding the older APK for the Messenger.

I've tried using a few older apks, but none of them have been working for me so far. Is anyone having any luck?

In the meantime I downloaded the facebook lite version thats floating around, but its doesnt seem to be "headless" when logged in. As in when I open tinder or something like that its not automatically signed in.

Good news for those who use Android Facebook and Messenger on Z30, Today i updated them with latest version and both are working very good. The Google Map is also working fine without any patch.
Then i tried latest Chrome and Opera unfortunately both are incompatible even with new 10.3.1.2558 update.
