Does BB Link backup ones whole device contents, both on internal device storage and the SD card memory? Pics, documents, music, android apps, settings, etc

Or maybe simpler, what is NOT backed up using Link?

It's up to how you set up LINK.
Like any program, there are default settings (factory) and then you go through the program and set it up the way YOU want it to behave .

I don't think Link bothers with the SD card. Otherwise, even android apps get into the backup (but not side loaded bar files)

It Does Backup Android links AND their settings!!!
It'll show you what it's backing up as it's doing it and when you restore hit "CUSTOM" and you can choose what to restore.
