Searching for this kind of app didn't find satisfactory solutions on BlackBerry World.
FeetFit beta does have a nice interface but it's really inaccurate. New version does have all kind of errors and is unusable.
Other options such as StepsCounter appear to have the same accuracy problems.
So anyone did find some easy to use yet accurate option?

No way to have just an app on the smartphone, you did need to have the band also?

The FeetFit team will launch a new release soon with a lot of bugs fixed, more accuracy in the pedometer and now running in the background on the OS.

you can get noom walk from the android store but I've found that it only picks up my steps when I use the Q10 verses the Z10. Not sure what the deal is. But even then it's only a guestimate because its not a true representation of the steps.

I was using runtastic pro, worked well, and pretty accurate.

But I just started using sportrate fitness, I like it much better. Loads up faster, built for blackberry, has a ton of options, gps tracker ect (I have the pro version, not sure what features come with the free one).

The big change for me was being able to save all my walks, runs ect. And it has options to keep track of more then for walks/runs.

**after writing alll this I realized it doesn't actually count my steps, but it does keep track of distance, time, location etc.

Yeah I'm looking more for just a step counter that counts my steps all day like the apple fitness apps. I have a few fitness apps for when I'm working out.

I tried the runtastic pedometer and while it's great, it's aimed more for workouts because you have to start and stop It. I want one that just runs and counts all your steps throughout the day

I've used Nogago Tracks. Not really a pedometer but it does a good job of gps tracking your movements. I guess if you know your STRIDE you could divide the total distance to figure out steps.

If does not seem to be too harsh on the battery but anything tracking all day will definitely deplete the battery. Here's some shots of its info. It can zoom the map, so I included one of those. And I exported the track to a garmin gpx file and overlayed the track on a Garmin map.

I did indeed! It's really surprising. So strong for a little guy, the BlackBerryCentral review was spot on! I'd recommend it for sure.

Pedometer from blackberry world app seems to work based on accelerometer and not GPS. Runs in background all day and doesn't kill battery that fast. Still drains it but at around 1% a hour or so

    They are android ports.

Here is a screen shot of my native version.

Thanks! I'm stoked to try it. I click the link though and it opens bbworld in my browser and doesn't open bbworld the appp at all which is usually what happens. I couldn't find it by searching health either. Anyone find it?

You might try opening it in a desktop browser and then use BBWorld on your phone to scan the bar code (swipe down in BB World) and tap the Scan Icon.

But in BB World (on the phone), I typed "health for" and it found it.
